Summary:

In the gritty underbelly of a fictional Eastern European city, a young woman named Sasha (21) accidentally stumbles into the middle of a Russian mafia vs. Italian mafia turf war. She's rescued by a mysterious mobster named Ivan (28), but as their relationship deepens, she uncovers the dark secrets of his family - including his younger brother Dima (17) who's being groomed as a hitman, and his mentally unstable mother Katya (45) who's running an underground sex trafficking ring. Meanwhile, Sasha's own past - as a former child abuse survivor - comes back to haunt her when she meets a kindred spirit in the form of a young boy named Alexei (14) who's been forced into the mafia's child army.
