Chapter Text

The turtles were all in the lair, Leonardo was reading a Space Heroes comic, and Donatello was playing pinball and losing by Raphael. It was peaceful until Michelangelo ran in with some kind of headset

"Guys! Look what I found!" He shouted excitedly, holding the headset up

Everyone turned their attention to him before Leonardo spoke up

"..what is that?!" Leo asked cautiously

"I don't know. But it looks cool, right?" Mikey answered

None of them had seen a VR Headset before, aside from Donatello, but this one looked different from any he had seen, and it took him a minute to figure it out. 

"Be careful, Mikey. We don't know what it is or what it could do," Raph warned. 

"Is that a VR??" Donatello said, being the only one out of the four who knew what it was

"What's that mean?" Mikey asked

"It means virtual reality, you put it on your head, pick a game and it looks like you are actually inside of the game!" Donnie explained, having heard of it somewhere.

"Cool!" Mikey exclaimed before putting it on his head.

He didn't question why there was already something loaded on it, and also didn't have any time to question it either as he... Disappeared.

"Uh, D, is it supposed to do that?!" Leo asked, concerned

"Not that I know of!" Donnie answered, slightly panicked

They watched the headset fall onto the ground, Raph picked it up and, without hesitation, put it on himself and also disappeared, and it fell to the ground again. 

Leonardo quickly decided they need to go after Raph and Mikey, and they both also put on the headset, Donnie first, then Leo when he disappeared. Leaving the only trace an old headset on the ground.

When Mikey first appeared in the circus, he was disoriented. The first thing he notices was the vibrant colours everywhere, a visual nightmare since he was mostly used to the sewers. 

The second thing he noticed was the others. He kind of assumed they were just video game characters, since he hadn't realized he wasn't wearing a headset anymore.

Then he looked up, and saw a floating pair of teeth with eyeballs in them, his first thought was how does that guy eat, aside from the slight fear because he was kind of scary. He decided the video game was boring since everyone was just staring, must be bugged. He reached for the headset and didn't.. Feel it...

"Woah... This is like... So cool.." He muttered, still thinking it was a game. It felt so real... "Why can't I take off this headset though?"

Michelangelo was mostly talking to himself, not expecting an answer from the other circus characters, so he was a bit surprised when the humanoid purple rabbit spoke

"You can't." Jax said

"Don't be too harsh.. But yeah, you're kind of.. Stuck here..?" The ragdoll said almost hesitantly

Though Mikey thought this was apart of the game. 

"Huh, weird... This game is cool.." He said in awe. 

They all looked at him, not wanting to be the bearer of bad news. But one of them had to tell him.

"It's not a game. You're stuck here." The triangle-headed character said, and some of the others nodded along

After a minute of silence Mikey finally understood. Sort of. 

"Wait, you mean I got like, teleported to a game?" He asked

"Yep!" The ringmaster cheerfully said,

Mikey thought about this for a minute before realizing and kind of like, passing out from shock. 

Just then, Raph came in, saw his brother passed out on the ground, and immediately took out his sai's, 

"Which one of you clowns did this!?" He asked

"2 new guests in one day! Thats a new record!"  Said the floating pair of dentures cheerfully. 

"Hey! We didn't do anything!" The ragdoll said

"Yeah, dont blame us for the turtle guy passing out!" The purple rabbit said nonchalantly.

Then Donnie and Leo appeared, The sentient dentures dude told Bubble to write down the record of 4 "guests" in one day. 

When they said Raph had his sai's out, they put their guards up, Donatello taking out his bo-staff and Leonardo his katana's. 

"Weapons, huh? I didn't know avatars could come with props." The purple rabbit said, acting jealous of their weapons

"...why do you all look almost the same..?" The short jester asked, confusion etched on her face

Leonardo and Donatello out their weapons down, along with Raphael, but he still held them just in case.

"Hm.. I didn't add matching avatars!" The ringmaster said

"Avatars? What are you talking about??" Leo asked before Donatello spoke

"Guys.. I think that we might be trapped here..."
