Sam, suddenly exhausted by the adrenaline crash, laughed so hard he slapped his tight. “Man, I won’t even try.”
Buck frown. “It's not what you are supposed to do?”
The man shook his head, cracking his back. “I don’t work for anyone. I don’t agree that we need to take you in.”
Buck scoff. “Why?”
“Because you are grown men. You don’t wanna work with us, that's fine. But the information we got today is not nothing. I won't retaliate by acting like a cop.”
“Steve wants--”
“I already told you I don't work for anyone.”
“He is your friend.” Buck eyes seem to glint with anger.
“Yes. That’s why I’m shadowing you and making sure you don’t die. Cuz I care about Steve and he cares about you--”
“And the intel,” Buck said, surprisingly petty.
Wilson chuckled, “Yeah and the intel.” He opened his wings. “Our friends are not always right.”
James nodded. “Well, thank you… I guess.”
“Thank you for not killing me.” Sam said with a grin and a wink before taking flight.
