Summary:

“That’s the second time this week.”

“I know…” Minho sighed as he rubbed his hand over his face before running his fingers through his hair and climbed back into their bed. The warm scent of caramelised apples had now turned slightly rotten. Most likely due to Jisung’s upset state.

“We should really get a lock.” Jisung huffed and nodded as he shuffled over to Minho’s side of the bed and fell into his open arms. A strong scent of caramel enveloping them as Minho tried to calm Jisung down.

Minho let out a small chuckle as he wrapped an arm around Jisung’s shoulder and flicked off the light.
“If we get a lock then we’d have to deal with thinking everything is an emergency with the way Yumi acts. She’ll claim cuddles are an emergency.” Minho shuffled himself down on the bed to lay down, letting Jisung rest on top of him.

“But that is an emergency.” Jisung protested as he clung onto Minho to prove his point.

Work Text:

A warm caramelised apple scent enveloped the couple’s bedroom as Minho was laying on top of Jisung. The pair were already undressed, the room heating up from their body warmth.

“I gotta be up early tomorrow Min..” Jisung groaned as the alpha nuzzled on Jisung’s mating bite.

“You never last long Jagiya, you’re already close, I can tell.” Minho mumbled into his omega’s ear as Jisung’s legs fell open and spread to let Minho’s knees fall between them under the covers. His firm thighs pressed up to provide pressure right where Jisung had been craving it. Minho’s fingers explored Jisung’s toned body, tattoo on his chest in full view as Minho nibbled at the mating mark.

It wasn’t a new mark. It had been there for a couple of years now. The pair dated years longer before that. It was a mark to signify their relationship. Felix had always told Jisung that the omega would probably get the mark when he was least expecting it. And it was true Minho and Jisung usually were unpredictable, a chaos of two wolves constantly play-fighting and running back and forth from the sun and moon. But the mating ceremony was a private, organised and an intimate affair that no one knew about until weeks later when Jisung made a public appearance and the whole world knew of the bright red mark, bruising and healing.

Jisung let out a loud moan as Minho’s hands trailed his skin, leaving burning marks whilst biting on his neck. His mate always left marks, every time. He was unapologetically possessive of Jisung.

“Mmm stop teasing alpha..” Jisung grunted as Minho pushed one of Jisung’s legs towards his chest.

There was a loud bang and the hallway light suddenly flooded the room. Minho quickly covered the pair with the duvet protecting Jisung’s blushing face as he let out a small whine.

“Yumi! What have we told you about knocking?” Minho hissed as he grabbed his pants from beside him and slipped them on whilst under the covers.

The small girl blinked a few times, completely unaware of the situation. Clutching her small white rabbit plushie as she glanced at her parents.

“Can’t sleep Papa.” Yumi mumbled and hid her mouth behind the fluffy bunny as she tried to peek at Jisung. Minho quickly stood up, a loose pair of trousers now securely on his hips and he picked the girl up swiftly and carried her back into the hallway and shut their bedroom door.

“Wanna see Appa!” Yumi whined as Minho steadied her on his hip and carried her back to her bedroom down a small flight of stairs.

“You only want Appa because you know he won’t get as angry.” Minho scoffed as he kicked open Yumi’s bedroom. It was a pretty big room for the six year old. She was definitely spoiled. Minho spent too much money on making sure she had everything she wanted.

“Exactly.” Yumi huffed and stuck her tongue out at her dad.

Minho gave her a pointed look and pinched her soft cheek before throwing her onto her bed which made her bounce a few times, a couple of giggles escaping.

Holding up the duvet, the man waited for his daughter to scramble under the covers as she also grabbed onto a quokka toy. Minho tucked his daughter in, making sure the duvet was tight. Yumi whined lightly about not being able to move but Minho knew this was exactly how she liked it.

“Too tight! Let me go!” Yumi cried as she thrashed about under the covers.

Minho lay down on the bed, half on top of his daughter as he glared lightly at her, “I’ll let you out when you tell me what I told you just the other day about barging into mine and Appa’s room.”

“To knock, and wait for an answer. Otherwise, unless it’s an emergency, leave you alone.” Yumi mumbled, mouthing softly at the rabbit’s ear.

“Don’t chew leebit’s ear off.” Minho pulled the toy out her mouth, “Was today an emergency?”

“Yes! Because..because I wanted cuddles!” Yumi pouted lightly already knowing that wasn’t a good enough excuse.

“You don’t like the cuddles you get from quokka and leebit?” Minho sat up and grabbed the quokka from beside Yumi and bounced the toy up and down her body.

“No!” Yumi stuck her tongue out.

“Okay.” Minho placed the plushie by her shoulder and tucked it underneath her duvet as she placed the leebit next to it.

“I’ve already told you this. But remember we all need boundaries and space. Like when Appa gets super worried and just wants space, or he is nesting, you don’t annoy him do you? You let him have time on his own. And when I'm super tired after work, I need some space away from everyone, even the cats.” Minho began explaining as he brushed some of Yumi's brown hair out of her face.

“You like to have your own privacy and boundaries when things get too loud. So at night, you need to remember it’s a time for us all to have our own space. Me and Appa want some alone time away from the cats and you being a little rascal.” Minho tickled Yumi’s side, making her squirm and giggle slightly.

“So you gotta remember, if the bedroom door is shut you have to knock okay?” Minho hummed.

Yumi nodded lightly before yawning.

“Okay, get some sleep baby, you have school tomorrow. Your Appa won’t be impressed if he has to carry a sleepy Yumi in.” Minho double checked the duvet was pulled tightly and kissed Yumi on the forehead as she mumbled a goodnight back, her eyes already shut.

Minho rolled his eyes and let out a small smile before he turned off her bedroom light and shut the door quietly. Dori was resting in the hallway, clearly scoping out what all the noise was.

“Wanna go in?” Minho looked at Dori as he pawed at Yumi’s door. Dori let out a small chirp as Minho clicked the door open slightly so the grey cat could go inside, after making sure the cat wouldn’t terrorise Yumi, Minho finally shut the door and headed back up to his own bedroom.

When he made it back to their shared room, the bedside lamp was on as Jisung had put his shirt back on, pouting lightly, “That’s the second time this week.”

No doubt the boy was not only upset but also embarrassed.

“Yeah it is. But not when we’ve been trying to have some privacy and it gets ruined by our six year old daughter claiming she needs them every night. We already cuddle her before she falls asleep. If we keep coddling her then she won’t ever be able to sleep without us nearby.” Minho reasoned.

Jisung let out a hmph and wrapped an arm over Minho’s stomach, wrapping his legs around the alpha’s stretched out ones.

“I suppose..but if we are gonna teach her stuff…we need to do it properly.” Jisung said before yawning lightly.

“We will, but first let’s sleep. We can think of a game plan tomorrow after our schedules.” Minho brushed Jisung’s hair softly.

“Once I get Yumi to school I only have one meeting and then Chan hyung and Changbin hyung were going to go through our next album song choices, we still have a couple to decide on.” Jisung mumbled.

“I’ll bring you lunch then, I'm still finalising the choreo so I'll be at the company.” Minho explained softly, he could already feel Jisung’s body become heavy and relaxed as the boy started falling asleep in his arms.

⋆˚☆˖°⋆。° ✮˖ ࣪ ⊹⋆.˚

Jisung shooed Soonie away as he buckled Yumi into her carseat. The ginger cat always snuck out and tried to hitch a ride with them every morning. Jisung was worried that one day he’d sneak into the car without anyone noticing.

“Soonie!” Yumi giggled as the cat jumped onto her lap, tail whacking her in the face.

“Come on Soonie, you know you can’t come with us.” Jisung tutted lightly as the cat meowed as he picked him up and quickly rushed him back inside as Minho was about to lock the door.

“They love Yumi more than me.” Minho rolled his eyes as Soonie turned and meowed at the couple before padding back inside, “I raised them since they were just kittens and this is how they pay me back.”

“I think they are protective of Yumi as well.” Jisung hummed as he checked over Yumi’s seatbelt one last time before shutting the back door and hopping into the driver's side. After years of never learning to drive, Minho had finally taught him.

“Okay Mi, we are dropping Papa off and then heading to school okay?” Jisung started up the car and began pulling out of the drive.

“Wanna go with Papa!” Yumi fussed.

“You’ll see him after school, Yumi.” Jisung said lightly as they started up the journey towards JYPE. The couple usually took it in turns taking Yumi to school. Usually one of them had an early morning schedule so a short detour to drop one of them to jump out and head into work.

“I don't want school.” Yumi huffed and crossed her arms, pouting slightly.

Minho let out a small chuckle already knowing Yumi was making a fuss just because. The girl loved going to school. Though he's not surprised, at her age it's more of a daycare than anything else. With emphasis on educational games and activities.

It wasn’t long before Jisung soon pulled up to JYPE.

“I’ll see you later, yeah?” Minho smiled at Jisung giving him a chaste kiss before unbuckling his seatbelt.

“Bring sushi for lunch!” Jisung grinned as Minho just smiled softly at him, he leant forward and scented him lightly, head hiding in Jisung’s neck, he kissed Jisung’s biting mark lightly for just a couple of seconds before leaning back.

Jisung took a deep breath inhaling the caramel scent.

“Only for my cute Omega.” Minho winked before he hopped out of the car. Jisung felt his cheeks warm as his Omega preening over being a good mate for Minho.

The back door was opened briefly as Minho kissed Yumi on the forehead and lightly scented her as well before waving Jisung goodbye. Minho always scented the pair. A mixture of his protectiveness and possessiveness over his family. Jisung’s omega loved it. He always felt just that extra bit safe when he was out and about without Minho when he had been scented. Some would say it was excessive, Seungmin in particular always rolled his eyes at them when the couple would meet up for team practice after being away from each other for the day, they’d always make sure they spent the first minute scenting each other. Stinking out the dance practice room with caramelised apples.

“Papa!” Yumi whined almost on cue as Jisung began pulling away from the company.

“You’ll see him later, baby.” Jisung said softly as he began the ten minute drive towards school.

Jisung let Yumi whine for a few more minutes, she wasn’t completely devastated about Minho going, but she liked to make a deal out of it. Jisung could understand why though, when Minho left he did always feel a small pull on his heart.

“I know Papa already spoke to you last night about this, but do you remember what he said last night about boundaries?” Jisung turned the music from the radio down a bit as Yumi was suddenly silent.

“Come on, I know you remember. We’ve been through it a couple of times already.” Jisung tried again. Glancing in the mirror he could see Yumi grumbling to herself.

“To not do it…” Yumi muttered.

“Not do what?” Jisung raised an eyebrow as he indicated and took a right turn down towards the road that led to the school.

“Not go into your bedroom.” Yumi uttered softly, words slightly hidden as she tugged her school cardigan over her mouth, her little fingers fiddling with the collar.

“You can come into our bedroom. We aren’t banning you Yumi. But you need to knock. Would you like it if you were having an amazing dream of you jumping around on a massive cake and you were climbing to the top and you were about to eat a spoonful of ice cream and we woke you up and ruined your dream?” Jisung explained as best he could.

“No..I want ice cream!” Yumi cried at the thought of not getting to eat her favourite dessert.

“That’s what it’s like sometimes when you don’t knock. I know you want cuddles so you can sleep, but we give them to you when you first get into bed. You can’t keep trying to come into our room, Yumi. Especially if we’ve told you to go to sleep, and stay in your room.” Jisung explained. He wanted to be harsher, but he also knew Yumi would cause a fuss and then not want to go into school. Jisung couldn’t afford to have Yumi following him or Minho around the company when they had a jam packed schedule that day.

“Do you understand?” Jisung glanced back at Yumi who was sulking slightly but was nodding lightly.

“I need you to say it. Don't just nod.” Jisung said as he turned into the school.

Yumi’s school was a private school in the middle of Seoul. It was near JYPE and had enough security measures that both Minho and Jisung were happy with to allow Yumi to be comfortable there. They did debate putting her into a public school and having a security guard shadow her for most of the day but that would draw more attention than either of them wanted.

“Yeah.” Yumi sulked slightly but perked up when she spotted the school.

Jisung pulled into his usual parking spot, luckily not taken and turned off the engine. Quickly hopping out the drivers side he rounded the car and opened the back. He grabbed out Yumi’s school bag and went and opened the passenger door.

Yumi was already trying to undo her child-lock seatbelt. Jisung chuckled lightly.

“Mi, slow down, let me do it for you.” Jisung placed Yumi’s bag on the floor before undoing her seatbelt and helping his daughter down onto the ground. She was quick to pick up her bag and grabbed Jisung’s hand, already trying to pull him onto the school.

“Woah, slow down Mi.” Jisung laughed as he quickly shut the door and locked the car before letting Yumi drag him inside.

“Wanna see Nina!” Yumi grinned.

“You saw her yesterday pup, no need to rush.” Jisung rolled his eyes, smiling at Yumi’s excitement.

The omega let his daughter pull him all the way to her classroom, he spotted a few people filming on their cameras which had become normal. Luckily nowhere near as many as there would be if she had gone to a public school. Yumi skidded to a stop outside her classroom door and peaked inside to see who was inside already.

“Okay, you’ve got your lunch in your bag, papa cooked you some delicious food so you better eat it.” Jisung hummed and brushed a few stray hairs away from Yumi’s face and fixed up her knitted cardigan which was slipping off her shoulder; she would grow into it soon enough.

“Papa’s food is always yummy!” Yumi jumped up and down excitedly and glanced back into the classroom where Jisung spotted Nina talking with one of the boys in their class. Jisung was never very good at remembering all her classmates and parents. Minho was the one who remembered all their names and kept up with all the drama that happened.

“Okay, I'll see you in a few hours, be good. Have fun.” Jisung hummed and grabbed Yumi’s wrists and scented her lightly.

“Stooppppp.” Yumi whined and wriggled out of Jisung’s grip and rushed to the door handle. Jisung laughed lightly. Yumi always got embarrassed over her dad’s scenting her.

“Bye Yumi.”

“Bye Bye Appa.”

.𖥔 ݁ ˖🕠.˖ ᯓ★

Jisung hummed along to the tune that was coming out of the recording booth as he leant against Minho. His alpha’s warm arm wrapped around his waist securely. It had been a busy few months and finally the group were getting set with their new comeback. Felix was currently in the recording booth as Chan spoke to him in English over specific dialect and tone changes he should make in his verse.

“Does anyone want a drink? I’m gonna grab something from the cafe” Jeongin stood up from where he was studying his lyrics besides Seungmin, the pair quietly talking over their sections and the parts where they’ll be harmonising with each other.

“I’ll have an iced americano Jeonginnie!” Jisung grinned and he sat up slightly, Minho’s arm tugged him towards him slightly.

“Make that two.” Minho nodded as he didn’t look up from his phone, he was catching up with messages from the school about an upcoming overnight trip that was taking place. Students eight years and older were allowed to go. It was to a camp site that Minho was familiar with so he had already begun filling in the form for Yumi to go. Luckily her birthday was a couple of months ago and she was able to attend.

Jisung leant back and watched as Minho filled in the form, “Are we expected to chaperone?”

“Not sure, as much as I would like to, it’s during our comeback, and we already have to deal with the parents coming up to us when we pick Yumi up from school. Can you imagine how annoying it would be if we were stuck with them? I like a couple of them but most of them clearly just want to pretend to be our friend so they can boast about knowing a ‘celebrity’.” Minho sighed as he added in his digital signature.

“Will Yumi be fine without us?” Jisung bit his lip slightly concerned.

“Probably, She has her friends with her. And when she spent the night round Nina’s house she was fine.” Minho shrugged lightly.

The only problem would be going to pick her up after they arrive back, it will be the afternoon whilst they are supposed to be promoting. It would be a bit difficult unless they got a security guard that was on the approved pick up list  to get her and bring her to the music station.

“Maybe hold off sending it off, we need to figure out if someone can pick her up first.” Jisung tapped Minho’s thigh a couple of times.

“Han you ready?” Chan called over as Felix was coming out of the booth.

Jisung jumped up, “Sure!” and headed into the booth.

Like clockwork Jisung got himself situated in the booth, the familiar headphones sitting snuggly over his ears, a music sheet already propped up on the stand. The title track for this album was a lot slower and more calmer than their last few albums. Minho had joked that it was an album they could play for Yumi to get her to sleep.

Minho nodded his head along to Jisung’s soft singing as he sang the bridge. Once he finished his first take Chan went through a couple of corrections. Minho knew the camera crew were pointing cameras towards where he was sitting. Always wanting to get his reaction to Jisung's singing and vise-versa. The behind-the-scenes videos had now gotten more interesting according to fans now that Minho and Jisung didn’t have to be too cautious about everything they did. If it made Minho slightly more protective of Jisung — screw him. He needed people to know they were serious. Jisung’s pregnancy wasn’t a secret. There was some backlash considering he got pregnant before the pair were mated. They had tried to conceal most of it. The company even wanted Jisung to go on a hiatus whilst he was carrying his pup but Jisung had refused. Even with their matching mating bites, there were still some skeptics. Minho had seen someone online calling them ‘friendship bites’ and nearly lost it, how could people be so dense.

Minho felt his phone start to vibrate in his hand, the soft jingle of his ringtone starting to play out. As he checked the ID he immediately shot up out of his seat. Yumi’s School

The group turned to look at Minho, “It’s the school, give me a sec.” Minho quickly explained and headed out the room before answering the phone call.

“Hello?”

There was some crackling before Minho recognised the receptionist voice coming through clear, “Hello Mr Lee?”

“Yes hi, that’s me.” Minho felt his heart race slightly at all the things that they could be calling about.

“Your daughter has been called to the principals office and we would like you and your mate to come and pick her up. The principal would also like to speak to you both.” She said in a monotone voice. Not an ounce of emotion in her voice.

“Right, is Yumi okay? Is she in trouble?” Minho asked as she glanced through the glass in the door to the recording room.

“That’s not my place to say I'm afraid of Mr. Lee. When can I expect your arrival?”

“Give us twenty minutes, we won’t be long.” Minho sighed as he ended the phone call and headed back into the room.

Jisung was already standing outside the recording booth, worry etched on his face.

“The school wants us to go in, something to do with Yumi. We gotta go now.” Minho explained quickly as he grabbed his bag and coat. Jisung wasted no time in following suit.

“Is Yumi okay?” Felix asked, he let out a slight sour lemon scent, clearly worried about the girl.

“Not sure, the receptionist didn’t say much except that we both needed to go in.” Minho shrugged on his coat before automatically turning to Jisung to help him untuck his hoodie from his coat.

“Did you want a driver? Or will you drive yourself?” Chan asked, phone all ready to phone up a staff member.

“We can drive, not sure how long we will be.” Minho explained.

At that moment Jeongin walked through the door, drinks in hand, “Have we finished?” He frowned.

“Something’s come up with Yumi at school, we gotta go speak to her teacher.” Jisung sighed as he spotted the americano’s in the carrier already sweating slightly.

“Oh, I hope she’s okay. Here, take your drinks.” Jeongin held out the carrier with the two iced americanos.

“Thanks Innie, good luck guys with the recording. We’ll keep you updated.” Minho shuffled Jisung out of the room as they grabbed the Americanos.

⋆˚☆˖°⋆。° ✮˖ ࣪ ⊹⋆.˚

“They didn’t explain anything on the phone?” Jisung sipped on his drink as Minho drove down the road towards the school. Luckily not busy as it was lunch time.

“No..” Minho sighed as he turned into the school, there were a few spaces available and picked the one nearest the entrance.

“She’s eight...it can’t be that bad can it?” Jisung asked, a small scent of rotting apples filled the room as he began to think of everything that could’ve happened.

“Jagi, I’m sure it’s fine okay.” Minho cupped Jisung’s face and brought him closer, scenting him in caramel before giving him a small kiss.

“Yah! You aren’t even doing that to calm me! You just want to douse me in your scent so people know I'm your mate.” Jisung scoffed and crossed his arms, a pout sitting on his lips.

Minho let out a small chuckle, “I don’t trust the teachers. I can’t have my pretty omega walking around the school where people could smell your apple scent. That’s for me and me only.”

Jisung rolled his eyes and climbed out of the car. Minho rushed round and linked their hands causing Jisung to let out a small laugh under his breath, “So possessive.”

The mates walked into the entrance of the school and headed straight over to the reception.

“Hi, we got a call earlier about our daughter? Lee Yumi?” Minho leant against the desk to peer over the top where the receptionist was.

“Ah! Yes. Hello. I’m sorry I couldn’t disclose any more details on the phone, it’s up to the principal to do that. Please take a seat and I'll let him know you’re here.” She smiled lightly and motioned to the sofas that were in the corner.

“Thank you.” Minho smiled and the pair went and sat down, Jisung huddling close to his mate as another group of parents walked into the room.

“Think it involves another student?” Jisung asked quietly as the other set of mates in the room smiled and chatted happily with the receptionist.

“Not sure…” Minho mumbled and wrapped an arm over his omega’s shoulder as they watched the other couple give them a tight smile and sit opposite them.  Jisung grimaced as the air became filled with a strong sandalwood smell. He fought the urge to hide his neck into his mates.

Minho raised an eyebrow at the male that sat opposite them, wearing a suit and glaring slightly at the idols.

“Could you not spread your scent so much, it’s upsetting my mate.” Minho glared back at the other alpha.

The male scoffed, “Maybe if you stopped coddling him, he’d be used to other smells. I’m not projecting any pheromones onto him.”

Minho gave a small tsk and watched as the lady shifted uncomfortably beside her mate, her own scent was fairly muted, only a subtle smell of oranges could be detected.

Before Minho had a chance to speak up they spotted the principal – Mr Jung – walking in, “Sorry for making you wait, if you could all follow me.”

Minho quickly jumped up, grabbing Jisung’s hand as they ignored the other couple and caught up with Mr Jung.

“Is Yumi okay?” Minho pressed as they followed him towards his office.

“No need to worry Mr Lee, you’ll see your daughter soon and can ask her yourself. We have a lot to discuss.”

As they entered into the office Jisung spotted Yumi’s brown hair, it was a mess, no longer in the tight plait Minho had done for her that morning. Her eyes were slightly red and puffy. Jisung sprinted over to her and pulled her into a hug.

“Ah, pup. Are you okay? What happened?” Jisung fussed over his daughter and gently pulled her hair tie out of her hair and untangled her hair.

“Hmm Appa, stoppp.” Yumi whined lightly, swishing her body from side to side as Yumi tried to get Jisung to detach himself from her.

Besides Yumi sat another girl, who looked worse than their daughter. Her hair was covered in mud and her skirt was covered in dirt.

“Mr Han, if you don’t mind taking a seat, we can discuss everything and solve any issues.”

Jisung glanced over to Yumi one last time before taking the seat beside his mate, next to Yumi.  The room was fairly cramped with six seats squashed in front of the principal's desk.

“Now, Yumi and Bora please explain once more what happened…” Mr Jung started.

“She..”

“Bora..”

Both girls started at once, eager to get their side of the story heard first.

“One at a time please.” The principal put up his hand and both the girls stilled at once. Jisung shuddered slightly as a strong scent of tobacco filled the air making his noise twitch.

“Yumi pushed me!” Bora butted in.

“So! You started it!” Yumi scoffed and glared towards Bora.

“Girls”

Jisung gulped, not only was the principal's alpha voice affecting the two girls but Jisung felt his own omega hide away slightly. The Omega felt his mate's reassuring hand come to rest on his thigh, rubbing it lightly letting out a small amount of caramel to keep Jisung somewhat sane. Glancing over towards Bora’s parents it seemed her mum also felt slightly uncomfortable surrounded by the tobacco scent.

“Bora, let’s hear your side of the story first.”  The principal motioned towards the girl with black frizzy hair, flattened slightly with mud.

“We were playing families and we were picking who was playing which person. I wanted to be the mum and told Joohon Oppa he could be the dad. Yumi got annoyed that I didn’t want her to also be a mum.” Bora huffed and crossed her arms.

“But I wanted it to be a mum! I don’t wanna be the kid.” Yumi glared at Bori.

“Okay, and Bora, why didn’t you let Yumi be a mum as well? Joohon could’ve been the kid.” The principal asked gently.

“I didn’t want to be a dad!” Bora explained, her face frowning slightly as she glanced over at Minho and Jisung.

“You could’ve been a mum as well…” Yumi muttered softly as she glanced down at her feet, swinging them back and forth.

“So why did you push Bora into the mud? And cover her in dirt? I’ve seen the CCTV footage. Both of you pulling each other’s hair as well? Over who was playing who?”

Minho looked over to Bora’s parents who seemed stoic over the conversation happening.

“Be-because she said that families shouldn’t have two mums or two dads…and Papa said it was okay to fight…” Yumi peeked over to Minho as she spoke.

Jisung’s eyes widened and sat up slightly at the comment as everyone looked over to the couple.

“You told her to fight?!”  Jisung hissed.

“No! I just told her not to lose” Minho shrugged, Jisung whacked his arm lightly and shook his head, he felt his face heat up at the attention on them. Jisung saw Minho sniffle a laugh.

“Oh come on, is this kid serious? Upset about a normal family? Just cause she’s got an abnormal one who had her when they weren’t even mated? Let alone not having a mother.” Bora’s dad motioned to Yumi as he tutted towards Mr Jung.

A loud growl escaped Minho,” Don’t you dare say that about my mate and pup.”

Jisung felt himself sink into Minho’s side. His scent hitting the air in strong waves of burnt caramel. Yumi squirmed and jumped from her chair into Jisung’s arms.

“Calm down Mr Lee…let’s sort this out in a mannerly fashion.” Mr Jung clearly felt the effects of Minho’s protectiveness towards his family as he scooted back in his seat slightly.

“Appa…I wanna go home.” Yumi mumbled into Jisung’s chest, she was shaking slightly, no doubt from all the different scents swirling around in the air. It was also making Jisung feel lightheaded.

“We will soon pup, okay.” Jisung whispered into her ear as he stroked her hair, coating her in sweet apple scent to contrast her papa’s.

“Calm down?! This man is claiming we aren’t a normal family.” Minho stood up and moved in front of Jisung and Yumi as he glared towards Bora and her family.

“I mean… I can’t blame Yumi for hitting Bora, she’s clearly not coming from a loving home that can look after her properly…probably chucking her at the first babysitter that wants to get paid millions just so you can run off and go sing some songs.” Bora’s mum raised an eyebrow, “She’s clearly not had any female role models, fighting like a boy.”

“Okay, that’s enough Mrs Choi. This is all getting a bit out of hand.” Mr Jung tried to diffuse the situation.

Minho scoffed and turned around to Jisung and Yumi, “You two go out to the car and I’ll meet you both there.”

Minho let out a strong wave of caramel to coat them in it. Jisung felt his Omega calm at the pheromones and nodded quickly, trusting his mate would do what he needed. Jisung scooped Yumi up into his arms and made a quick exit hearing a shout come from Bora’s dad about how they were cowards.

“Appa, I’m scared…” Yumi’s voice cracked slightly, fresh tears pouring down her face.

“I know baby, lots of raised voices and scents aren’t nice. Let’s get in the car. Just your two favourite scents are in there.” Jisung hugged Yumi tightly as he ignored the receptionist's questioning look. He just prayed Minho would rein in his anger and not lash out at anyone. They really didn’t need a headline in the news about it.

“We’ll go home and make a super comfy nest with all of our blankets and watch movies for the rest of the day. We can even order from your favourite restaurant." Jisung said softly as he opened the chair and sat in the passenger seat with Yumi on his lap.

He just hoped Minho hadn’t bitten anyone's head off.

Minho let Yumi fiddle with one of his bracelets as she sat on his lap in the green room of the broadcasting company. With one of their comebacks in full swing both Minho and Jisung didn’t want to have to rely on their parents to look after Yumi for a week straight. It wasn’t like before when Yumi was just a baby and needed supervision twenty-four seven. Even though she just had her ninth birthday she managed to keep herself occupied on her own when the pair were busy.

Jisung and Minho had given permission for the talker to record her in the green room as long as they blurred out her face, thankfully they were happy to do that considering Yumi’s appearance alone will keep the fans happy.

Minho rolled his eyes as he watched Jisung talking into the camera before pointing it towards Minho and Yumi, making his way over to them. Yumi shuffled on Minho’s lap going to grab the camera.

“Ah ah, nope you are too clumsy.” Minho chuckled as he held the camera in Jisung’s hand and took it off him before Yumi could attempt to snatch it and probably drop it.

“But I wanna say hi!” Yumi whined lightly, crossing her arms and leaning back into Minho’s chest.

Minho chuckled and pointed the camera at Yumi, “Say Hi to STAY Yumi.” He knew they would most likely censor him saying her name, just to keep things more private. If they found out her name then it would be easier for fans to track down her school and post themselves outside the gates until the couple came to pick her up. That wouldn’t be ideal at all.

“Heyyyy STAY! I’ve already learnt all the choreo to this dance! Wanna see?” Yumi bounced off Minho’s lap and Minho diligently followed her with the camera as she stood and began dancing to their newest release. Hyunjin and Felix began singing and making instrumental noises to add to the clip.

Yumi had been taking ballet classes at her school, she’d definitely taken after Minho’s talent of dance, top of the class and already exceeding each ballet level intended for her age group. She also loved sitting in on the dance practices and learning the choreography for each comeback.

Jisung clapped and cheered loudly when she finished and scooped her up into a hug, “ Our perfect little dancing pup!”

Minho stopped recording shortly after and passed the camera to one of their managers who was staying in their green room before they were escorted to the stage to perform.

“I wanna come and watch!” Yumi tugged at Jisung’s shirt, clutching hard her fingers going slightly white.

“You can watch here with the Noona’s on the big screen! I’ll even send you a heart at the end okay?” Jisung crouched down and gently uncurled her hands from her grasp on his outfit.

“But Appa–”

“No buts Yumi. It's dangerous backstage, lots of staff running around and loose cables that you could trip over.” Jisung explained carefully.

“Uncle Felix! Let me come with.” Yumi tried to grab onto Felix’s trousers as he passed by the little girl.

“Sorry Yumi. You gotta listen to your Appa.” Felix sighed lightly and ruffled the girl's head lightly.

“You’re supposed to be the fun one!” Yumi crossed her arms and huffed.

“Sorry Mi, when you’re ten I'm sure you’ll be allowed.” Felix chuckled softly and headed to the door.

Yumi huffed again, mumbling about how she wouldn’t be ten for another ten months, and sat down on the foam mats on the ground where Stray Kids always ended up having a cuddle pile. Yumi was officially part of the cuddleracha and always found herself in the center, getting squashed in hugs from her uncles.

“Be good okay, I’m trusting you to stay here, there’s lots of Noona’s keeping an eye on you. Maybe you can even ask Yoochae Noona if she’ll do your hair and makeup yeah?” Jisung glanced over at Yoonchae who gave a small smile and nodded.

Yumi grumbled something under her breath just as Minho tapped on the door, “I know our daughter is adorable, but we do have to go baby.”

“Stay here.” Jisung said sternly before heading towards the door to Minho.

“A menace…” Jisung said under his breath as he pulled his in-ears up and pushed them into his ears, Minho passed him his microphone as they made their way towards the stage.

The mates quickly followed their bandmates and huddled together to get ready to take to the stage. Chan began his usual speech which everyone knew word for word. Jeongin was mouthing along to it pulling funny faces.

“Let’s crush it.” Changbin added on the end as all eight of them put their hands in the middle of the circle doing a quick, “Fighting” chorus because they headed onto the stage.

STAYS were cheering loudly as they got into position, Jisung facing with his back towards them in front of Minho. Jisung stuck his tongue out and Minho pretended to bite it as their in-ears began the countdown to the start of the song.

This was one of their last performances for their comeback and so the group decided to have more fun with their expressions and movements. It was a fun upbeat song, slightly different from their usual darker tones. Jisung did a couple of hops and a spin before launching into his rap as the others danced around him. As he finished his verse he twisted and looked off-stage where there were  few staff members making notes and a manager standing watching with his arms crossed. Jisung saw a flurry of brown hair and quickly did a double take thinking he saw Yumi running backstage.

Jisung glanced over to Minho who was halfway through his short rap, before looking back off stage to see whether Yumi was there or not

He couldn’t dwell on it for too long as he had to focus on the camera and start up his next vocal section. As he hopped back into his next position he faced Minho, “Yumi..backstage.”  He rushed out in a hurried voice before moving to his next position to do a move with Hyunjin and Felix.

Minho barely caught what Jisung said to him on stage, but hearing Yumi’s name his head quickly flashed over to the backstage area, eyes widening as he spotted Yumi’s brown hair and her playing with something.  Quickly schooling his face Minho continued dancing as if nothing was wrong but he couldn’t help wanting to look back to see if he could see if Yumi was fine. How did she escape unnoticed?

As the group finished the song and stood for the ending fairy Jisung and Minho quickly dipped out not bothering to say thank you to the fans as they rushed backstage looking for Yumi. It didn’t take long for them to find her, she was holding the talker camera and filming herself, she was running.

It almost felt like everything happened in slow-motion, Yumi running as she looked through the camera and not where she was going, her legs practically shuffling along the floor. One second she was giggling, the next she was tripping over a loose wire that hadn’t been securely tapped down. Her head smashing into the corner of one of the backstage flight boxes.

Then came the scream.

⋆˚☆˖°⋆。° ✮˖ ࣪ ⊹⋆.˚

It took almost a whole hour to calm down Yumi. She had cracked open her head and was bleeding fairly heavily for such a tiny body. She had to get stitches near her right eye. It was luckily, a couple of centimetres over otherwise she could’ve severely damaged her eye. Jisung sat behind her on the hospital bed as Yumi was picking out the next colour to use for her colouring book that Hyunjin dropped off with a spare change of clothes for the mates. They didn’t even change out of their performance outfits before rushing Yumi to the hospital.

Jisung sighed and rubbed his eyes lightly as Yumi hummed and giggled at her own colouring.

“It’s looking good pup, your head not hurting?” Jisung asked softly, well aware Yumi probably wasn’t even paying attention to the throbbing of her head after getting stitches. Jisung already knew she would be gloating about it to her friends. At least it wasn’t a broken arm in a cast. Yumi would’ve definitely milked all the attention from her uncles and classmates, making sure everyone signed it.

“Nope!” Yumi chirped. Jisung definitely knew some of the sedatives were still not completely out of her system yet. Her colouring is far from neat as she misses most of the lines and scribbles around on the page.

Jisung could hear Minho’s raised voice coming from next door. They were in a private room in the hospital that had two rooms, one being a spare bedroom for people to sleep over.

“..I don’t care Siwoo, She’s my daughter. We told her not to leave the green room because of how dangerous it is!”

Jisung couldn’t hear Siwoo’s response, but just from Minho’s next statement he knew they probably wouldn’t see Siwoo again.

“You gave Jisung and I’s only pup free-rein of running around backstage. You weren’t even near her when she fell! Where were you? You claimed you were looking after her yet she was running around and tripping over wires! She could’ve blinded herself when she fell into that flight box! ”

It was quiet for a couple of minutes before the door creaked open and Siwoo scurried out, if Jisung could see the Alpha’s tail it would definitely be between his legs. Head dipped, an awful scent of burnt leather protruding from the air. Jisung covered his nose. Minho came out of the room a few seconds later, bee-lining to his mate and pup.

“I always hated Siwoo.” Minho grumbled as he collapsed onto the hospital bed, on Yumi’s colouring book. The girl giggling loudly, tugged at Minho’s hair and  playfully began to braid his hair into a mess.

“Papa.. Siwoo Oppa said you told him I could film your dance…did you not?” Yumi bit her lip lightly.

“I didn’t pup, but it’s okay. You didn’t know. Did Yoochae not stop him?” Minho questioned his daughter.

Yumi shrugged and went back to colouring in once Minho had moved out of the way “Yoochae eonni went to buy me a milkis from the machine.”

Minho let out a huff, “I bet he did it on purpose.”

Jisung let out a sweet smell of apple to calm the tension in the room, Yumi leaning back onto him as Minho peaked up and smiled softly, his hand coming up to link Jisung’s that was resting beside Yumi.

“I wanna see Soonie, Doongi and Dori!” Yumi announced suddenly.

Minho let out a small laugh,” We will pup, just waiting for your results to come back after your scan.”

“Gotta make sure you actually have a brain!” Jisung knocked on Yumi’s head lightly, “Actually, I don’t think you do.” Jisung joked.

“Yah! I do Appa!” Yumi fussed and spun around as best she could to glare at Jisung.

“Hmm the colouring says differently. What happened to the flower that's meant to be coloured.” Minho picked up Yumi’s colouring book and pointed at Yumi’s terrible colouring due to the sedatives.

“Papa!” Yumi whined lightly, a small giggle emitting from her lips as Jisung hugged her tightly.

She was okay, and that’s all that mattered.

Minho pushed up his glasses and leant back against the sofa, it was past midnight. He should already be in bed cuddling his omega and sleeping but instead he had decided to focus on perfecting the dance lines and patterns for Stray Kids latest comeback. There wasn’t as much dancing as there used to be, it should be a lot easier now. But Minho couldn’t help but find that with less dancing it was harder to make sure each member got to shine in the centre. Rubbing his eyes and pulling off his glasses he set them beside his laptop.

Standing up and stretching, feeling his back click, Minho let out a small sigh of relief. He was looking forward to getting into his bed and sleeping. It was the weekend and Stray Kids had Sundays free from schedules so he was looking forward to sleep-in. Minho grabbed his laptop and began to make his way upstairs. Dori weaving between his legs.

“Yah, Dori stop.” Minho hissed as he walked up the first set of stairs and stopped outside Yumi’s bedroom to pick the cat up.

Dori meowed lightly into Minho’s face.

“Shh.” Minho hissed, “Want to go–” There was a thud in Yumi’s room.

Minho frowned and he perked up at the noise.

“Yeah, I’m just leaving now, I'll be out in a couple of minutes. My dad's are asleep…” Yumi’s voice was heard. The alpha assumed she was on the phone to someone.

I'll be out in a couple of minutes.

Minho let out a small sigh as he quickly headed back downstairs and placed his laptop on the sofa before slipping on a pair of sliders and heading outside the front of the house where Yumi’s window overlooked.

Minho crossed his arms, eyebrows already raised as he watched his Alpha daughter try and sneakily climb down the trellis that was covered in vine just below her window. She may have Minho’s personality and inherited the pair's sneakiness but she had taken after her Appa’s clumsiness, especially as she misses a foot on one of the wooden framework. She slid down and fell onto the grass below, a hushed string of swear words leaving her lips.

Grabbing her bag from the ground she began walking backwards towards where Minho was standing, glancing up towards the window’s where her parent’s bedroom was. There were no lights being turned on and Minho heard her laugh lightly and she turned around with a smile on her face.

Yumi’s face dropped as she locked eyes with her dad who was leaning against the tree.

“Shit…” Yumi mumbled.

“Oh? We’re swearing now? Funny? I don’t remember you saying you were going out tonight.” Minho pushed himself off the tree as Yumi let out a loud groan.

“Pa Please! I’m only meeting with Nina and Dohyun.”

Minho tsked and patted Yumi on the shoulder and spun her around to face their house and pushed her back towards the front door. A frustrated scent of burnt chocolate emitted from Yumi.

“Yumi, do you think we are stupid? We know you aren’t just meeting up with them. We want you to stay safe.” Minho shuts the door behind them, kicking off his sliders as he watches Yumi kick her own shoes off, and they fly into the sitting room. He would complain about that later.

“We were just going to go to the park!” Yumi debated, “Nothing bad.”

“I’m not letting my pup go out and most likely get way too drunk on off-branded soju, and potentially not able to get home.” Minho ruffled Yumi’s hair.

“Pa! Stop calling me your pup i’m sixteen” Yumi snapped and glanced down at her phone that was now chiming lightly. Nina’s name popping up.

Minho was quick to snatch Yumi’s phone, “Hey!” Yumi gasped and reacted too slowly as her dad pressed accept.

“Yah! Yumi! You said you were gonna be out in a minute.” Nina’s voice came through the speaker.

“Sorry Yumi can’t come to the phone right now, she’s now grounded. But she says hi and will see you at school on monday. Go home Nina, or I’m calling your parents..” Minho replied and ended the phone call as quickly as he answered. He started running around the kitchen island as Yumi began chasing him trying to get her phone back.

“Do you want to wake Appa up?” Minho questioned as Yumi pulled on Minho’s shirt, arm reaching up as Minho lifted the phone out of her reach.

“No! But give me my phone!” Yumi hissed.

“I’m confiscating it. You aren’t allowed to have it until Monday before you go to school. You’re spending tomorrow with me and Appa. Now, go to bed, Yumi. If I catch you trying to sneak out again…I’ll take your phone for at least two weeks." Minho pocketed the phone.

“That isn’t fair! Why can’t I have it?” Yumi demanded, crossing her arms and sitting on the arm of the sofa.

“Because Yumi.” Minho sighed, “You were going to sneak out! How many times have you done it before? What would you do if you got into danger! Sure you’re an Alpha, but what happens if an older male Alpha came near you huh? Don’t you see the dangers of wandering around in the middle of the night!” Minho raised his voice.

“So? I can fend them off! Uncle Felix has taught me taekwondo and it’s not like I'm an omega? They won’t go for me.” Yumi claimed, waving her hand slightly.

“They won’t care if you are a beta, alpha or omega or even an unpresented wolf Yumi. They’ll just see an intoxicated girl who is stumbling around and an easy target! You wouldn’t be able to fend them off whilst drunk.” Minho snapped, arms crossed against his chest as he let his caramel scent envelope the two.

“I won’t get drunk. It was just going to be a bottle or two that we shared. Barely anything! Besides Nina was driving, we could've gotten away from anyone.” Yumi twisted and leant against the back of the sofa, glaring at her dad, nose wrinkling at the lightly burnt caramel.

“Oh? So now you’re admitting Nina would’ve been drunk driving? Yeah I’m totally going to let you go out now.” Minho scoffed, “ What would’ve happened if you got into an accident?”

“You’re being dramatic! It’s midnight. There wouldn’t be any cars and we would’ve only been tipsy.” Yumi tried to reason knowing full well she was just digging herself a deeper hole.

“No. You can’t go around thinking everything will be fine Yumi. There’s already reporters constantly waiting outside the school for you, what if they take pictures of you drinking illegally, huh? Think of the consequences!” Minho growled lightly, well aware he was raising his voice.

“Just because you’re famous I’m now stuck being a boring teenager?! All my friends go out and have fun, and you are so controlling! Stop it Pa! I’m nearly an adult.” Yumi shouted, a small grumble at her throat as let go of control of her pheromones coating the air with a smoke scent.

“I’m not controlling you Yumi. I’m being a parent. You’re my pup, mine and Jisung’s only pup. So sorry for being protective over you I guess.” Minho scoffed and tilted his head back, shutting his eyes for a second to try and rein his own scent in. It was getting out of hand, no doubt Jisung could smell the fight happening, let alone hear it.

“Just cause Appa is too old to have another kid doesn’t mean you can just baby me! you’re stopping me from having fun? Wow, that's really great Pa.” Nina shouts.

Minho could smell a small scent of Apples floating into the living room, Jisung must’ve woken up from the shouting.

“You know full well we’ve tried for another pup and it isn’t because of his age that we haven’t had another pup Yumi. Go to your room.” His tone quiet and stern. He was tired, he had a mate to comfort now, and he never thought the teenage years would be this hard. It made the toddler phase seem like a walk in the park.

“You suck! I hate you!” Yumi shouted and left the living room, stropping up the stairs and slamming her door.  Minho knew for sure Jisung was awake now.

“Make that two days!” Minho called as he shook his head and headed to his bedroom. There was a small glow coming under the door frame. Minho slipped inside and saw Jisung propped up slightly, eyes half open, his face confused.

“What happened?” Jisung could smell the pungent smell of burnt chocolate and smoke filling the hallway.

“Our daughter has decided to hit her rebellious phase and try to sneak out.” Minho turned off Yumi’s phone and put it in his bedside drawer.

“You took her phone?” Jisung asked as he let Minho pull him into a tight hug, letting out a strong wave of caramel to cover up their daughter's scent.

Minho hummed as he got himself comfortable, flicking the light off.

“Was only going to take it for tomorrow, I’m forcing her to do stuff with us, she’s always meeting up with Dohyun and Nina. I told her to be quiet so she wouldn’t wake you and then proceeded to shout at me, and slam her bedroom door so i’m keeping it on monday as well.”

“That’s going to be fun to deal with.” Jisung sighed as he hid his face into Minho’s neck.

“I’m just hoping she hasn’t managed to sneak out before without us realising. Not only is it dangerous for her, but with us being famous, she is by association. If people took pictures of her drinking underage, not only will it affect her but also us. I can’t be dealing with any articles about us.” Minho grumbled as he hid his face into Jisung’s neck taking a deep breath of apple in. Jisung’s scent always did wonders to calm his brain and stop his overthinking. He was almost certain he had adopted that habit from Jisung after years of helping his omega stop overthinking about every single thing, he now does it instead. Or maybe it was just him feeling protective of their pup.

“Come on you big Alpha, before you get scent drunk, let's go to sleep. If we are having to deal with a grumpy Yumi I want the most sleep I can get.” Jisung chuckled lightly as he pushed Minho from his neck, his mate gave a small growl of annoyance but accepted his fate and curled up beside Jisung.

Jisung nipped the back on the Alpha’s shoulder and kissed it lightly as he wrapped himself around Minho.

“Sleep Min, we can deal with Yumi together tomorrow.” Jisung mumbled as he tightened his hold around his Alpha’s waist.

“Baby!” Minho called from the kitchen where he was keeping a watchful eye on the army stew he was currently cooking for the family's dinner.

“Yeah?” Jisung called back as he made his way into the kitchen, fresh from a shower, hair still damp in his joggers and a shirt. Minho pouted lightly at not getting to see Jisung’s tattoos on show but he could deal with that later once Yumi was in bed. His shirt was slightly too big, mostly likely stealing the older’s clothing – his neck on display, smooth and waiting for Minho’s mating bite. They both knew they wanted to mate soon, but they needed time and with Yumi now needing their constant attention it was hard to find a spare evening or day.

“Chan Hyung said the recording for Black Hole was finished right? I wanted to get the audio from him so I could work on the last bits of the choreo, but I couldn’t do it with the demo.” Minho asked as Jisung wrapped himself around Minho, head resting on his shoulder, kissing lightly on the back of his neck, as he looked at the stew bubbling away. Whilst Minho chopped some more vegetables.

“Yeah, Black Hole and Shadows are both finished. I think 3Racha were going to meet up tomorrow after the meeting and before dance practice to go over the last few songs to make a plan for what else needs recording or editing.” Jisung explained as Doongie came weaving between them.

Yumi’s loudly high pitched giggle quickly came after as she ran around on tiny legs, Minho’s phone in a tight grasp as she was pointing it at Doongie following him around.

“You gave her your phone?” Jisung raised an eyebrow as Yumi scurried past them, back over to Soonie and Dori who were relaxing on the sofa.

Minho tutted and shook his head lightly, “Pup, what did I tell you about phones before dinner time.”

Yumi screeched lightly, ignoring her Papa as she continued to shove the phone’s camera into Dori.

“Yah! It’s almost dinner, you know the rules.” Jisung raised his voice slightly to get Yumi’s attention.  Yumi looked over at her parents and turned back to the cats and continued to record them.

Jisung unwrapped his arms from Minho, and quickly made his way over to Yumi.

“What are the rules Yumi?” Jisung crouched down and asked as the three year old turned away from the Omega and started to follow Soonie who had jumped off the sofa.

Jisung reacted quickly and grabbed her wrist lightly to snatch the phone from her hand. Jisung winced as Yumi screeched loudly in his ear.

“Want Phone!” Yumi cried as she tugged on Jisung’s leg and pulled on his jogger’s.

“No. You get TV and screen time in the morning and if we have movie nights. You know the rules.” Jisung pulled Yumi’s hand off his joggers and moved to make eye contact with Yumi. She screamed in his face and tried to hit him, aiming for his eye.

“That’s it. Time out.” Jisung scooped her up, Yumi grabbed a fistful of her Appa’s hair and tugged at it, she flailed around in his arms as he carried her out of the living room towards the stairs.

“Phone!” Yumi bawled, suddenly turning on the waterworks as Jisung sat her down on the stairs, placing Minho’s phone beside her. She was too upset to even notice it.

“Stay here. I’ll be back in five minutes, once you’ve calmed down and we can talk about it.” Jisung tried not to coddle her and just hug the girl but she needed to learn her lesson.

“Papaaaa” Yumi cried out to Minho as she crawled away from Jisung and tried to climb the stairs.

“Nope. You have to stay seated.” Jisung picked her up and pulled her back down on the seat.

Minho turned the corner, arms crossed not looking too pleased at Yumi’s loud shrieks. Yumi spotted him and quickly rushed over to him and began tugging on his trousers, “Want Soonie!”

Minho sighed and crouched down so he was beside Jisung, “Yumi. You know the rules, and you broke them, you also took my phone without asking.” Minho picked up the phone that was laying on the stairs and pushed it into his back pocket.

“Cats!” Yumi whined, her body twisting around as she fought her parents while sitting on the steps.

“Yes, the cats were cute, and you wanted to film them and that’s fine. But you could’ve waited until after we'd eaten. The cats aren’t going anywhere. Now, sit here for five minutes.” Minho said calmly to not provoke Yumi anymore.

“Not fair." Yumi huffed and plopped down on the steps, arms crossed. A small pout on her lips. She was a very chaotic three year old, always misbehaving at every chance she got.

“No, it’s not fair. But you’ll learn to listen to us this way. You didn’t listen to Appa, and then got upset over it.” Minho explained.

“You can come back into the living room and kitchen once dinner is ready. If you move before, we’ll just reset it and you can sit there after dinner as well.” Minho reasoned as Yumi avoided eye contact with both her dads.

“Stay here Yumi.” Minho said sternly and headed back into the kitchen to continue to finish up their meal.

“I’ll be watching you Mi, if you move then you’ll be in big trouble okay.” Jisung watched as Yumi slumped back on the stairs and laid down, clearly not in the mood to move.

Jisung hummed happily to himself and headed back into the kitchen, the meal was already nearly ready so he grabbed some chopsticks and spoons and began to set the table up.

“Do you think she’s gonna be this troublesome forever?” Minho asked as he brought over a bottle of wine and two glasses to place on the table as well.

“Let’s hope it’s just the usual toddler phrase. We don’t really have anyone to reference except our parents talking about what we were like as children.” Jisung sighed lightly as he sat down in his usual seat. Resting his chin on his arm.

“We could ask Chan Hyung? But I doubt he really remembers what his siblings were like at such a young age.” Minho brought over a few bowls of rice.

“He was probably already getting ready for his JYPE audition” Jisung chuckled lightly.

Minho let out a small chuckle as he grabbed the stew with some oven gloves and placed it in the middle of the table. The stem wafting upwards, the stew bubbling away.

“Yumi! Dinner’s ready!” Minho called and waited for Yumi to scurry through the door, somehow dragging Dori along with her.

“I don’t think Dori wants to be dragged like that Yumi.” Minho crouched down and picked Dori up and dropped him off onto the ground near their food bowls. Dori headed over to his specific one. The couple had invested in specific food bowls that had flaps that only opened to certain microchips. It allowed the couple to easily track who was eating and who wasn’t. No over feeding either, especially if they were out all day and had their bowls pre-made up ready to go.

Yumi clambered up onto her seat as Jisung loaded up her plate and bowl with a few side dishes, her plastic chopsticks clicking together as she waited for her food to be served.

Minho tucked a small apron around Yumi knowing how much of a messy eater she was, never waiting before stuffing her mouth full of food. She was a foodie just like her parents.

Jisung poured some extra stew into his bowl just as Minho’s phone started buzzing. Pulling out the phone from his back pocket he saw Chan calling him.

“What’s up hyung?” Minho answered as he lifted his glass of wine and took a small sip as he watched Yumi stab a chopstick into a slice of spam to pick it up, the soup dripping off it onto the table and over her apron.

“Blow on it Yumi, it’s going to be hot.” Jisung spoke to her quietly to not disrupt Minho’s call.

“You need to check your bubble.” Chan stated quickly.

“Huh? Why?” Minho asked as he put the call on speaker as he opened his bubble app. As soon as his chat loaded he already saw the damage was done.

“How did that even happen?!” Minho said shocked at the fact Yumi had somehow filmed and posted videos to bubble. How did the three year old do that?!

“I’ll call you back Hyung.” Minho quickly ended the call and played the video.

Jisung leaned across to watch the video. It started with a close up of Doongie’s nose and then as the ginger cat jumped and moved off the cat tree, Yumi chased the cat around. With the volume on, Minho already knew what was about to happen.

“Great…we just spoiled the name of two of our new songs.” Minho sighed as the couple continued to watch Yumi chase Doongie past the couple in the kitchen. Then came Jisung telling Yumi to stop filming and the screeching and screaming started.

“Great, so now the world knows that Yumi loves to screech and scream over wanting a phone, and always wants the cat's attention.” Jisung glanced over to their daughter who was stabbing another piece of the spam to eat.

The video pauses when Jisung puts the phone on the stairs. Minho frowned lightly, “But after that I then put the phone in my pocket.. Was she filing directly on the bubble app?” Minho minimized the video and saw a couple of text messages on the app that were just keyboard smashes.

“We can’t really get mad at her for that right?” Jisung asked as he wiped Yumi’s mouth and passed her sippy cup over as Jisung began eating his own stew not wanting it to get cold.

“I suppose not. But she still did steal my phone, and somehow got into it and onto the app.” Minho shook his head and chuckled lightly.

“I’ll call Hyung back later. I don’t want to deal with that right now.” Minho glanced at Yumi who was chewing on her food, watching Soonie who had hopped onto the table and looking at the food.

“Maybe she’s secretly super smart!” Jisung joked, half serious.

In that moment Yumi waved her hand out towards Soonie and her bowl toppled over spilling the stew over herself and the floor.

“And this here lets you control any videos or films you want playing!” Yumi grinned as she adjusted her seat forwards slightly as Minho stared blankly at the screen.

“What?” Yumi asked as Minho simply frowned at the screen that was loading up youtube, full of Yumi’s subscriptions.

“Who needs Youtube playing in their car?” Minho blinked a couple times in quick succession and looked over at his twenty-two year old daughter.

“I mean, most electric cars have it now. I’m surprised yours doesn’t.” Yumi shrugged and clicked on a recent Stray Kids video. It was more of a podcast and reaction video where the members were all sat re-watching old videos of theirs.

“No! Mi turn it off! I hate that video.” Jisung grumbled in the back of the car, trying to reach between the seats to the screen to swipe to the next video. He had tried to wrestle his way into the front seat but had Minho held his ground.

“You better not have this on whilst driving.” Minho raised an eyebrow as Yumi let out a small sigh and began pulling away from the drive.

“Well I usually put podcasts on them… BUT!” Yumi quickly continued, already seeing her Pa’s mouth opening slightly to jump in, “It’s like a sit down video version. I don’t actually need to watch it.  “

“So why do you not just have the podcast app on your phone? You don’t need this then.” the Alpha motioned to the screen, clearly not convinced.

“Most of them don’t upload them as actual podcasts in just audio form. Also I can put on music videos as well! I have a whole playlist that plays when I'm driving if I'm not listening to a podcast.” Yumi chatted as she drove down towards JYPE.

“What’s the point in that..just listen to it on your phone. Why have the music videos up?” Minho asked again.

“Stop Jagi, why are you acting like a child who just keeps asking ridiculous, never-ending questions. Yumi just likes giving artists views on their music videos.” Jisung butted in before Yumi would start getting annoyed by Minho’s constant questions.

“What’s the point in it though, just have maps up or something.” Minho continued on.

“Oh my God, it’s just technology and youtube. It’s like if you were playing the music video during a dance lesson instead of just playing the music from an app.” Yumi tried to explain.

“But I don’t do that…” Minho mentioned, unimpressed.

Yumi sighed and leaned her head back on the headrest as she indicated and took a turn.

“It’s just an example, besides there’s also games on there which...”

“If you tell me you’re playing games whilst driving I'm stealing your car keys. I’m not having my pup put herself in danger!” Minho interrupted.

“Pa! Stop calling me a pup! I’m an adult.” Yumi let out a small whine and rolled her eyes knowing full-well it wasn’t going to stop him.

“Minho, stop being so protective. Yumi knows better than to play games whilst driving.” Jisung let out a small amount of his apple scent, he knew the pair weren’t actually arguing but his Omega felt the need to defuse the situation.

“Well it’s so stupid. This is why I don’t want one of these screens in our new car, Sung.” Minho crossed his arms glaring at the screen like it had hurt him in some way.

“You really think we’ll be able to buy a new car without one of these in?” Jisung laughed lightly knowing that all the cars the pair had been looking at all had the newest technology in them.

“Yes, we don’t need them.” Minho nodded.

“Okay Grandpa…” Jisung muffled a laugh as the Alpha swatted a hand back to try and hit Jisung, managing to hit his knee slightly.

“Yah! You’re not sleeping in the nest tonight.” Minho shook his head and looked at Yumi who was smiling to herself.

“I’m pretty sure you’re the only two people who still use such old phrases…like pup. Also it’s your bed not a nest.” Yumi reasoned, glancing at her parents before quickly averting her eyes back to the road before Minho mentioned how she ‘wasn’t paying attention’.

“It’s my omega’s nest if all my scented clothes are on it.” Minho growls lightly, not any cause for actual threat.

“Eww I did not need to know that.” Yumi crumpled her nose as she pulled into the car park under JYPE, “Have fun at work.” Yumi grinned as she parked the car.

Minho was still glaring at the screen, muttering to himself before he unclicked his seatbelt and looked over at his daughter, “Stay Safe, have fun with Dohyun today. Was Nina going?”

Yumi scrunched her nose,” Pa, you know she’s still travelling.”

Jisung scoffed in the back as he shuffled towards the door,” Don’t remind Yumi that her girlfriend is on a business trip, now we have to deal with her moping about again.”

“Yah! Take that back! I don’t mope about.” Yumi glared at her Appa letting her chocolate scent envelope the car, clearly slightly annoyed.

Jisung chuckled lightly, “Okayyy, see you later pup.” Jisung hopped out of the car, a grin sat on his face as Minho also climbed out the car. Yumi shot off immediately heading to her own work.

“She’s in for a treat tonight.” Jisung bit his lip as they headed into the building.

“We’ve had to keep it a secret for months, if she doesn’t say yes. I will disown our only pup.” Minho shook his head smiling lightly, his hand brushing Jisung’s hand.

“She will say yes cause she’ll wanna get out of our house as soon as possible. Pretty sure she’s fed up with our constant badgering about her and Nina.”

“Maybe because she always makes the house stink with Nina’s scent wafting around our  house.” Jisung grumbled, Minho’s hand squeezing his lightly as they waited for the elevator up to the 3racha’s studio.

“Baby, you can’t say that…if they’re gonna mate you’re gonna have to get used to it.” Minho leaned in and kissed Jisung’s neck, lightly scenting him as the elevator dinged open for them to get in.

“Stupid..” Jisung grumbled as Minho spun to look at him mouthing ‘cute’ before reaching around and patting his butt.

Jisung stuck his tongue out. “Can’t believe our pup is going to be mated soon..” Jisung leaned against Minho as he scrunched his nose at the strange scent of petrol lingering in the small space.

“We’ve done a good job right?” Minho spoke softly as he pulled Jisung closer, his eyes lingering on their own mating marks in the mirror across from them. It was a strange feeling to think their pup was now at the age when Minho and Jisung had first discussed about mating – which turned out to be the night Jisung got pregnant.

“We’ve done good, Nina and Yumi are two Alpha’s not to be messed with. Besides I think she would’ve made it very clear if she didn’t think we’ve done a good job. She’s not one to stay silent on those kinds of things.” Jisung explained as he watched the floors increase slowly on the screen.

“I was still so sure she was going to be an Omega, she takes after you more than me.” Minho shrugged.

“She takes after both of us. You’re fierce, protective and loyal and my – well– my clumsiness and soft heart. We should’ve seen Nina and Yumi would get together from the very start. She was obsessed with Nina as a kid.” Jisung continued as the elevator slid open.

“We’ve battled all the tantrums and her rebellious teenager phase so I think we can give ourselves a pat on the back.” Minho grinned and leaned up to kiss Jisung softly in the middle of the corridor.

“True. But it was all worth it.” Jisung’s lips upturned against Minho’s pressing their foreheads together.

“Definitely.” Minho smiled and leaned forward to press their lips together again. A mix of Apple and Caramel swirling together.
