Work Text:
The episode started in Bea Spells-a-Lot's library, where several Lalaloopsies were working on arts and crafts projects, and glue definitely was involved. "Too much glue never dries! Glue raindrops, not puddles!" Bea told the Lalaloopsies, who were using a lot of glue. Spot Splatter Splash especially was using too much glue, which Piña Tropi-Callie took a notice of. "Spot, too much glue!" Bea warned Spot. After Spot heard this line from Bea, a flashback started. Patch Treasurechest and Mango Tiki Wiki love glue. At home, they make glue glasses, glue mustaches, and even glue bouncy balls, and Mango is happy to help Spot. After the flashback ended, Spot found the fullest bottles of glue, and tipped them over and squeezed, as they went "Plooooop!" all over her art project.
Glue squished from the orange tips and slopped all over. Sequins, paper confetti, macaroni, and googly eyes floated around in the gluey lake. Then, it was time for the most important decoration, which was Spot! Spot belly flopped onto the table and rolled around in the gluey mess, letting the glue and everything else cover her, as the Lalaloopsies and Bea watched in concern. The glue was everywhere, since Spot used such an insane amount. "Time to go on the drying rack!" Spot announced, but when she tried to pull herself off the table, she boinged right back down. "Too much glue! Too much glue!" Bea told Spot. This was bad, because there's only have an hour left before Bea's library closes, and all Spot could do was lift her head, wave her hands, and wiggle her feet, as the rest of her was a blucky sticky mess. "Can somebody help me?" Spot asked out loud.
Bea was breathing into a paper bag, worried about Spot. While Bea was breathing into a paper bag, Prairie Dusty Trails shouted, "Let's lasso her!" as she got out her lasso, and she, Mittens Fluff 'N' Stuff and Forest Evergreen all got to work. The three Lalaloopsies covered Spot in several different colored yarn lassos, and soon she was roped around from all sides like a rodeo pony. But, when they tried to pull Spot out, the lassoes went SNAP! and all of them broke and left colorful octopus tentacles everywhere. Or gummy worms that cannot be eaten. The glue all over Spot was too strong, and now Spot was a clingy stringy, blucky stucky mess. "Don't worry, Spot, we know what to do!" Berry and Sunny Side Up shouted, as they brought over a tow truck made of Legos.
"Is that a tow truck?" Spot asked, as Sunny and Berry wheeled the Lego truck contraption over, and stuck a plastic hook into Spot's suit of glue. The twins pulled one way, and the glue pulled the other, going CREAK! CLICK! CREAK! CLICK! until the tow truck went KABOOOM! as the tow truck exploded, and plastic Lego bricks rained all over. Now Spot was a clicky, bricky, clingy, stringy, blucky, stucky mess. Octopus tentacles, tow truck, plastic bricks, what's not funny about that? Rosy Bumps 'N' Bruises burst in to check Spot's temperature. "98.6. Sorry, no fever, I can't take you home early," Rosy said after checking Spot's temperature. Rosy dabbed and patted Spot like she's spilled juice, but the more she pat, the more the glue spread. Soon, Spot was a melted mummy, clicky bricky, clingy stringy, blucky, stucky mess.
Then, Feather Tell-a-Tale came in. Feather took a look at the glue covered Spot, stuck a note on her belly, and then left the scene. Spot saw Bea huffing and puffing like a train, which gave her a great idea that she whispered to Piña and Forest. After that, the bell rung to signify the library's closure, and everyone froze, except for Forest and Piña. Forest and Piña then came back with a huge paper fan to try to dry the glue on Spot. "It's the biggest one we could make!" Forest and Piña shouted, as they furiously flapped the huge paper fan at Spot. Just as Spot was thinking she'll be a note on her tummy, melted mummy, clicky bricky, clingy stringy, blucky stucky glue girl for the rest of her life, Spot's plan worked! Something Bea said would never happen did happen, and the glue dried! But, Spot was still stuck, and she could hear footsteps.
The door opens, and Patch, along with some other Lalaloopsy guardians, walked in. Patch came closer and inspected Spot, who was still stuck on the table. Patch then peeled Spot off the table, glue, yarn, bricks, and all. Patch spun Spot around, as nobody made a sound. "Spot, you're a masterpiece!" Patch said as he smiled. Patch held Spot up for everyone to admire, and Spot's Lalaloopsy friends all cheered for her. Spot's kart ride home from Patch was certainly interesting, as yarn, googly eyes, and Lego bricks flew out. Mango was speechless when Patch brought Spot back to her art studio home, but Patch knew just what to do. "Well, Spot, some beautiful things only happen once, and this is one of those things," Patch said. Patch gently gripped the dried glue in front of her neck and collar, and peeled Spot open like a ripe banana.
After that, it was Patch's turn to glue, and he sealed up the sides of the Spot shaped work of art. "I bet it would take all the glue in Bea's art room to make a YOU shaped work of art, Patch!" Spot said, as Patch giggled at that. Patch then glued a big magnet to the back of Spot's art project she made, and put it on the back of the fridge. During dinner, where Spot, Patch, and Mango were having the last pizza with Halloween ingredients of the year from Papa's Pizzeria, they snuck peeks of Spot's masterpiece. And after dinner, they took the note Feather stuck on Spot very seriously. "From the desk of Feather Tell-a-Tale: Please encourage Spot Splatter Splash to use tape instead of glue," the teal note read, as the episode ended right here.
