Chapter Text
Marius was not sure what to think of his situation.
The last few months have been an emotional roller coaster for him. Finally being free of that horrible woman, it still feels like a dream to him.
Well now he was following a small man that reminded him of a frog and only called himself “The Vagrant” through the corridor of an old train and wondered to himself what was going to come out of this weird invitation he got.
While pondering his new fate he didn’t notice that his guide stopped and walked right into him.
He grunted out a “Damn!”, before saying, “I am so sorry I didn’t mean to run into you!”, while scrambling to pick up his bag he dropped in the process.
“Don’t you worry friend I know that life changes can make some folk stand beside themselves.”
“That’s no excuse to be so clumsy.”, Marius answered.
“Everyone has their own ways of managing these kinds of things.”, the Vagrant said, “Anyway here you are this is the car you’ll be sharing with new friends that are also on their way to Druskenvald.”
“There are others?”, Marius asked surprised.
“Of course, the task the Druskenvalds are asking you to accomplish is not something one can do alone.”, was the answer he got.
“You are the second person I lead to this car today friend.”
Marius looked through the window in the car door and yes, there was a figure already sitting there.
“About that do you happen to know anything about the work I will be doi-“, he cut himself off as he noticed that the man was gone.
“That’s a little rude.”, he said to himself then looked back at the window. ‘This is it, if I step trough that door nothing is going to be like it was before. Hopefully that means something good but there is no turning back now Marius.’
“Lathander please guide me.”, he said before opening the cart door.
