“I’m home!” Jason stomped his boots on the welcome mat and locked the door behind him.No one answered him, which was… strange. Tim should be doing his schoolwork at the table right now and Lian should have been all over him the second he unlocked the door.
He inhaled deeply, but the only scent of the two pups was several hours old at least. Very strange. Maybe Roy took them out somewhere?
Jason walked through the apartment until he found a letter neatly placed on the table. It smelled like Roy- motor oil and green apples- as he picked it up. He unfolded the piece of paper and started reading.
Jason,
Dick’s got Tim and Lian for the day, so I thought we could spend some time together! That is, if you can find me.
I’d hate to have to hold this over you if you can’t. Don’t spin around looking for me forever.

“Oh, it is ON!” Jason growled, dropping the letter and spinning around. If Roy wanted to play games, Jason would show him that he was more than up for the challenge.
