Monokuma: “Why hello there, boys and girls!”
Present Mic: “WHAT’S HAPPENING, KIDS?!”
Hatsune: “It’s time for one of the greatest challenges this side of the multiverse!”
Monokuma: “One that is sure to bring people DESPAIR!”
Present Mic: “It’s time for 99 to Beat!”
Present Mic presses the audience button for that fake applause.
Monokuma: “You see, RikkiSnake was hanging out at her grandparents’ place one day and saw another commercial for the Fox show 99 to Beat.”
Hatsune: “And, after like two months of this, and nothing else on, she was like ‘Eh, I already watched my cooking shows. Might as well see what this is about.’”
Present Mic: “Spoiler alert: she fell in love.”
Hatsune: “It’s a stupid fun game show that you don’t have to be the fastest.”
Monokuma: “You don’t have to be the best.”
Present Mic: “You just got to remember the golden rule!”
DON’T BE LAST
Monokuma: “At this point, Rikki, who should be doing her homework for classes, instead decided to do one thing: run a massive game with 100 characters.”
Hatsune: “She’s gonna fail.”
Present Mic: “With a capital F.”
Hatsune: “But never mind that! Here are the rules!”
Present Mic: “Submit below as many characters as you want to participate!”
Monokuma: “Then DESPAIR as they get eliminated one at a time.”
Hatsune: “Once we get a good number, we’ll go through the list and see if any series was repeated. If so? We’ll randomly take one character from each series.”
Present Mic: “So if you want to see your character play, the more obscure, the more likely you’ll be picked.”
Monokuma: “If the same character was picked by multiple people? Both will be credited, but we’ll randomly take the stats from one of them and that character will have a higher chance to be picked from their series.”
Present Mic: “Of course, Monokuma, Hatsune Miku, and myself are all ineligible. Characters from Danganronpa, Project DIVA, and My Hero Academia, however, are not.”
Hatsune: “Characters that are also ineligible are non-sentient characters, characters that have no corporeal form, and characters that have, canonically, love pineapple on their pizzas.”
Monokuma: “It doesn’t matter the size of the character. All characters will be the size of a normal human for the purposes of these games.”
Present Mic: “Other than that, have fun!”
Hatsune: “And hope that your character can last longer than everyone!”
Monokuma: “Have fun! And DESPAIR!”
