Chapter 1: Rebirth of the Zonai?

It was a warm evening in the Draigwrol family when a little baby boy was born into the world. Normally the family would feel happy & bless with the arrival of their first child however, something is very unusual about their son. See most Julian parents would expect pointed ears, cute button noses & definitely not for their son to be purring. Link, their previous but very strange looking son was covered in a light gray fur, blond hair with long ears that remember more of an animal than an Hyruleans, an snout instead of a typical nose & impossibly cute blue but, 3 of them eyes. Now the parents have no clue how this happened & neither did the midwife or doctor now how to make of the little bundle of joy. They all knew there were no other creatures like exist alive in this day & age. They had no clue how the care of such a child would either help or harm him. The parents decided to name him Link in reference to being linked to a mystery that may never be completely understood. All that they know is that they will love Link no matter what else the world may say about him. Not knowing that Link will not only reintroduced a new species into hyrule, but become the hero that the kingdom will need in the future & past.

News of a new species spread throughout hyrule & Link gains a young Sheikah ally

It wasn’t even a day since Link was born that the news of “Supposedly” new speices was born to a pair of hyrulians. King Rhoam & his Queen Zelda the 220th heard about the child but believed these rumors to be false because, who has heard of a child being born a completely different species of their parents. The knights of the kingdom however along with the sheikah knew the truth of the child considering that his father was a retired knight of the kingdom that often worked with them when monster fighting. Some of which were invited to see the child & even when they saw Link they were still in disbelief. All but a little girl who tagged along with her father. Purah was especially excited to see this creature already asking a hundred questions about what he was & why he didn’t look like his mommy & daddy. She even drew a crude picture of the baby & try to image what he will look like when he is bigger, imagining him to kinda look like a cross between a lopped ear bunny, a goat & a dragon based on the shape of the baby’s eyes. Purah promised Links parents that she will become his friend no matter what & help him in anything she can to protect him when he is bigger, especially since he was so different in appearance like she was different in mind. Understanding that the other children are often cruel to those who are even a little different to themselves.
It’s not only the Sheikah & Hyrulians who heard about the child, but the 4 other tribes as well. The Gerudo just think that the child probably was just given exaggerations on his appearance & may just be a child with a different skin tone from his folks & the rumors just went too far. They thought it was impossible for a child to look like something they had vague stories of from thousands of years ago & choose to ignore what will later on be proved to them to be true. The Gorons thought it was neat the idea that something new came into the world & would love to meet the little guy if they ever cross paths with him, maybe even treat him to some rock-roast & invite him to some of their activities to see how strong he could possibly become. The Rito are kinda concern about the child when they heard of his traits, since they understood that hyrulians don’t always understand what a different species may need for their health & growth. One such Rito plans to leave home very soon to find the family with said child to get a health evaluation to make sure anything that isn’t usual for hyrulians but may be needed for the child is taken care of. This Rito even pack some items that isn’t normally thought of for such individuals like specific feather or fur care items & supplement items to help regulate the body in case the parents can’t provide them due to their familiar diet or usual care. The Zora were neutral on the idea of a species they thought would forever be lost to time. The Zora being such a long lived kind compared to the others new based on the description of the child what he most likely was, a Zonai. The Zonai were an ally of theirs long ago before the first calamity & were always helpful to all the other races, it was a shame at the time that they disappeared & forgotten by all others in all the years that have past. The news of the child however just went to show how sometimes life just won’t surrender something that was once great & had the potential to be great again. The Zora’s will just have to wait to see how the child will grow to determine if either history will repeat itself or the return of Zonai will bring even greater prosperity to the lands once again. One thing is for sure, baby Link will bring changes to the world around him.
