I remember rain, the feeling of wet droplets crashing onto my skin. A cold wind swept through my hair as I fell. I don't know how long I was in the air, opening my eyes I saw the endless vastness that surrounded me. At some point, I did land. However it didn't hurt, I found myself on a mushroom. Mushrooms shouldn’t have been that big. It just isn't possible.
When I opened my eyes around me, something wasn't right. I wasn't right.
Surrounded me were trees and plenty more mushrooms, flowers that dragged for miles. None of the things before me existed, last I checked at least. There was a girl in front of me, she called herself Mable.
———————————
“Oh dear, are you alright?” She asked with a slight squeal at the end, bending slightly over before me. My eyes were squinted, it was oddly bright; though clouds still covered the sun overhead. She looked pale, with wide eyes as she looked down at me.
Something about her just wasn't normal. Her hair was a warm bubblegum pink… or maybe it was closer to fluttershy's hair color? It was tied into two very long ponytails which shifted at the ends tying into two perfectly shaped hearts. It denied all physics, hair spray couldn't even achieve it.
“What…,” I couldn't get many words out, no surprise at that. As strange as the girl before me was, she did seem to show genuine concern towards me. It took me a moment to get a good acknowledgement on where I was.
She held her hand out, which to much of my weariness I accepted and stood from the spotted cushion beneath me. The ground was wet and muddy. Disgusting but the least of my worries.
Her eyes darted over me, she seemed like she was searching for something; though I wasn't sure what. “Gosh… you're not hurt are you?” She asked with a tone of desperateness drenched in her voice.
“No…” I muttered, voice wearing off slightly before speaking again. “Im fine, I think at least.” I brushed myself off lightly, not that there was much on me. It just felt right after falling anywhere.
It wasn't until I looked down at myself I noticed. I looked different, my outfit was monotone with a long skirt to my knees. It seemed playful in some way, couldn't quite put a finger on it though.
And my hair, it seemed longer. same color, type; just longer. To my knees almost. She must have noticed because she started chuckling to herself, speaking soon. “Dont worry, you'll get used to it soon. You're going to love it here.”
Before I could respond she had already grabbed my wrist and began dragging me somewhere. My feet moved on their own as she pulled, I wanted to resist, believe me but she seemed somewhat trustworthy and I already didn't know where I was; so it felt like if I wanted answers then I need to trust her.
If that makes sense, it wasn't long until we found ourselves in a strange town. Mud soaked my what used to be plain brown shoes, now black platformed heels.
“Welcome to mistelagrove! We're gonna have so much fun with you here!” Looking around there were lots of people passing by, just like Mable they all looked wrong, not in an uncanny way but just in a way that didn't seem possible. Abnormal.
“So bowlette, what's your name?” She asked, turning her head to me as we walked. “Bowlette…” I repeated, "I'm not sure what to call you, but you have that gorgeous bow on your head.”
I brought my hand to my head, feeling desperately for a bow, it was there. How did it get there? However, I have no memory of having it. She just chuckled again like earlier.
“Amber.” I spoke, voice breaking off slightly as it came out of my mouth. “Pardon?” “My name. Its Amber.”
