How do they show affection?
The king in yellow is generally not very affectionate in a conventional human sense, since he is a cosmic entity. Most interactions with humans are marked by indifference, manipulation or a desire for domination. That brings said, should he acquire a lover—he would do a full 180, though; it wouldn't be all in right away, it would be slow, perhaps even subtle at first expressing it through small gestures such as allowing you to be closer to him than most, wrapping his arms around your waist from behind, and finding you little trinkets he'd think you'd enjoy. But after a while you'll come to realize how physically affectionate the king can be, he usually sits next to you, either snuggled up to your side or with a hand on your thigh. His tentacles may also wrap around you.

How easy is it to make them blush?
The king doesn't blush! Is what he'd tell you, but in truth he blushes more than he will ever admit, sweet gestures? Compliments? Do anything to catch him off guard and you'll see the slightest hue dust his face followed by a scoff. the inverse, however? He is always trying to fluster you. Physical touch, innuendos, anything that gets you flustered.

How do they comfort you?
The king is the exact opposite of comforting, his appearance is meant to strike fear into people's hearts not to put them at ease. And while the king would indeed try to soothe his lover by listening to your woes and offering alone time if required, heaven knows he's stiffer than a stick in the mud when it comes to these things. But he tries..!

What sort of dates do you go on together?
The king doesn't care much about the setting of dates, as long as it's with you, though he does have standards, he's a king after all, a cosmic god. The ruler of carcosa. He'd rather DIE than be seen in an amusement park, god forbid if you say you went to go on the Ferris wheel with him. He'll look at you disapprovingly and walk away. If you really wanted to know his preferences, he'd prefer a tranquil date, sitting in a valley of flowers, taking you out to dinner, or even cuddling at home.

What do they see you as? (eg. you're their everything)
You're perfection personified, the moment he laid his eyes on you and knew in that exact moment that he had to have you, not as his property but as his lover, he feels at ease around you, like he can let his guard down and stop being the terrifying Eldritch being everyone knows him as. While the king is indeed prideful he's more than willing to put it behind him for your sake. Your love is never taken hell for granted and he's always trying to reciprocate your affection to the best of his abilities.

How do they flirt?
HE THINKS HE'S THE SHITTT!! spoiler alert: he isn't, or is he? The king is naturally teasing when around his lover, he loves to see you squirm beneath his playful remarks. On top of that, he’s also your biggest hype man - always complimenting your outfit, your face, how ravishing you look, It’s one of the most sincere ways he shows affection.

What sorts of gifts do they give you?
He gives thoughtful, personal gifts that hold deep meaning. It could be something symbolic of your relationship or an item that reminds him of you. Since the king is omniscient he knows exactly what you want when you want it.

how do they hold hands
Hastur finds comfort in holding your hand. And will always find a reason to do so regardless on if you two are gonna public setting or not, why should he be ashamed of loving you? His grip on your hand is gentle yet somewhat loose, his fingers are really sharp and he doesn't want to risk accidentally hurting you with his firm grip.

When did they first say I love you?
Hastur didn’t offer a confession in words, at least not initially. He preferred to dance around the sentiment with possessive words like "you're mine" rather than vulnerability. It took nearly two years of shared quietude before the shift happened. One evening, while snuggled close with his tentacles draped protectively around you, he finally let the silence break, trading his usual adjectives for the three words he had finally learned to mean. " I love you".

Are they the jealous type? What do they like when they're jealous?
Oh good luck, once you're in a relationship with the king, you're never getting out... Hastur is possessively and destructively jealous, he knows no average mortal could ever dream of competing with him and yet seeing you even converse with another is enough to leave an aching pit in his stomach, when the jealousy gets too much he'll subtly appear behind you with a calm but intense presence, making it clear that you’re his.

How do they kiss?
The king kisses you as if you'll fade away the moment he pulls back, most kisses with him are long and deeply intimate boarding on a full makeout. The king just can't help it, he adores you so much. He'll kiss anywhere that seems fit, your forehead, cheeks, neck, hand. Bonus points if you’re ticklish. He loves when you start laughing in the middle of his onslaught. Give him an inch and he'll take a mile. But he'll never go beyond your comfort zone, if you prefer short and tender kisses he'll easily oblige.

Much like excitement itself, laughter from the King is a rare, almost terrifying sight, he doesn't show it outwardly, not at first. Though it is a welcomed aberration in the gloom of Carcosa. When he finally broke, it was a sound that made the patchwork of cities below shake from the sheer velocity of it. a deep, roaring boom that would instantly crack, dissolving into the high-pitched, bubbly giggle of a schoolgirl talking about her crush. His body language also shows you how joyous he may feel. His tentacles might squirm in place or become more erratic during moments of joy.

What's their favorite memory with you?
It's hard to say which memory is the king's all-time favorite, he cherishes every moment with you, often reflecting on them when he's alone. The king has an impeccable memory and will often recall even the smallest details of your time together. Though he deeply enjoys it when you read stories to him. Childish he knows. He is deeply aware of the entire plot of the book and what'll happen in the end, but does he care? No. The sound of your voice and the careful lilt you use when you read each line, it makes his heart flutter in ways he never felt before.

What nicknames do they call you by?
Oh don't even get him started, he loves calling you little pet names, each holds a deep, personal meaning behind them. "My love", "little mortal", ""darling ", are his particular favorites.

What's a quirk they have?
Everything about the king is odd, his world, his kingdom, his family bloodline, his offspring, oddity to you is as normal as the very air he breathes. Although a noteworthy oddity even the king cannot explain is how his tentacles seem to have a mind of their own.

How patient are they?
Hastur has immense patience. Whether you’re dealing with something difficult or need time to process your emotions, he’ll give you the space and support you need, never rushing or pressuring you. Though he has little patience when it comes to being called the piss king, he'll get all silent and press a hand to his chest in offense, like he genuinely can't believe you called him such a ridiculous title. Then he'll start sulking silently.

What are quiet moments with them like?
He treasures quiet moments of peace, like reading together or simply sitting in silence. Hastur Finds comfort in just being by your side, enjoying the stillness of your presence.
