Not so innocent after all

Summary:

In which Elias found out that their puppy boyfriend is not as innocent as he may seem.

Work Text:

Elias and Caelen hung out in the living room, Elias scratching Caelen's ear as the latter closed his eyes in pure bliss. The others had errands to do outside, leaving the scientist and the police officer alone in their shared flat. As Elias was basking in the comfortable silence they shared, a rumble interrupted the silence; sounds like somebody's hungry.

“You hungry cae?” the scientist chuckled as he saw the tip of Caelen’s ear go red.

“Alright alright, no need to be shy,” he ruffled Caelen's hair, “I'll make some food, hm?”

Caelen nodded, “Yes please.”

Elias got up from the couch, stretching before making his way to the kitchen. The scientist opened the fridge, well.. nothing much to look at.. he ought to text his boyfriends to buy some groceries later. Next, the pantry. A packet of ramen, he and Caelen could share that for now. Elias made his way to the stove, boiling some water for the ramen. As he waited by the stove he felt strong arms circle his waist and a head resting on his shoulder.

Elias chuckled, fingers running through the latter's dark locks. His boyfriend sure is extra clingy today, he didn't mind though, he loves cuddling with his beloveds.

Then,

A sharp pain mixed with a questionable pleasure came from the nape of his neck, causing him to jump and whimper. He turned his head quickly to face the man's face on his shoulder, and he's met with an amused look.

huh.

The scientist was baffled, he never thought Caelen out of everybody would do that.

Caelen tilted his head and pouted, “what?”

Elias shook his head, “no, no, just.. taken by surprise..”

Caelen moved his head closer to Elias’ neck again, nuzzling and nipping from time to time.

“Hmm, you're warm.. and smell nice.”

Elias couldn't help but give out tiny little whimpers and gasp as Caelen kept assaulting his neck, it took him a minute before he could regain some of his composure and voice—albeit a tad bit weak and breathless, “cae enough. I thought you meant food when you're hungry, I guess I didn't get the memo.”

Caelen chuckled, pressing a light kiss on the latter's neck before finally letting him be.

Elias let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding all this time, and continued making the ramen, trying to focus on something else other than the previous interaction. When the ramen was done, they both sat on the living room whilst sharing a bowl of ramen.

Elias and Caelen greeted the rest of Lamentus when they finally came home, Liron wanted to run into Caelen's arm, probably about to whine about his schedule, until he noticed the very prominent mark on Elias’ neck. Liron looked at Caelen and Elias back and forth, raising an eyebrow despite the teasing tone in his voice.

“So.. anything.. fun happening when we were gone?”

The scientist and the police officer looked at each other with raised eyebrows, then it clicked, both of their gaze fell to the mark on Elias’ neck. Both of the men flushed, both scrambling to clear the misunderstanding.

“It's not like that—”
“We were just—”

Ash and Shiki huffed, looking at the three in amusement; Caelen and Elias would never hear the end of it from them.
