a couple months before the hour of joy
Alex Pov I just started my shift and over the intercom I hear "can Alex please report to miss Stella Greybers office please" I sigh and start walking to the elevator as i grab a grab pack " morning Alex " one of the employees say " morning don't have time to talk go to go to miss Greybers office I will be so annoyed if its those damn wires again " I say annoyed and think " the damn wires has been chewed again I swear it only has happened since those strange living mini smiling critters got there " i shake my head as i enter the elevator and press the button that leads to the game station and start contemplating something "that its strange that so many of the orphan have been getting adopted even though there is not that many people going down to the playcare and i always make time to go and see the kid when I have time I swear almost all the employees at playcare see the kids as work that needs to be done which is true but still you don't have to act like a damn machine well besides some of the caretakers " I look at the number and see that its at the the game station and start walking to the train station " good morning Mr alex " a cheerful voice says " good morning to you to mummy long legs how are you this fine day" I ask " same old same old " mummy long legs says " sorry I cant stay and chat but Mrs Greyber wanted to see me " I say as I get to the train station " well don't let me hold you back " mummy long legs says as the train arives at the station and I get in the passenger cart " next stop the playcare " the voice over the intercom says as the train starts moving towards playcare and I sit down waiting for my stop after a few minutes " now arriving at playcare " the intercom says as the train stop and I get out and walk up to where the gondola is " morning alex " the employees working the switch's to the gondola says " morning Jeff " I say as I get into the gondola as Jeff pulls the lever as Mr ludwigs speech starts playing as the playcare comes into view and the gondola enters the playcare I see all the orphans running around with some of the smiling critters chasing them as a game of tag as the gondola stops at the bottom of the playcare and the doors open as I walk out and go to the office area and walk to Ms greybers office
Stella greybers pov I sit in my chair thinking about my choices and the horrible secrets this company now holds in its hands and I sigh as alex enters the room " Alex good to see you again " I say " the pleasure is mine ms Greyber " Alex says " you remember the party we had a couple of days ago " I ask " yes " alex says " well while someone was eating a piece of there cake they dropped there fork right onto the pipe that moves the red smoke and punchered it causing some of the red smoke to leak out luckly noone was harmed though we had to turn of the red smoke machine for a while " I say " and you want me to fix it right " Alex says " yep also the hole is somewhere over here " I say as I point to a area where the red smoke machine is " great so I have to look for it then fix it " Alex says " yep and once you are done you can have a 1 hour break" I say " thank Mrs Greyber " Alex says as he walks out and I sigh and pull his file out of a drawn name Alex age 31 job repair man hobbies fixing broken things and giving toys that are not up to quality standards a new home and I think " he is a perfect candidate to get 'that' out of the building" as I lay down in my chair
5 hours later
Alex's Pov I sigh "I have finally fixed that damn hole who knew finding a fork sized hole in black tubes would be so hard 4 and a half hour just to find it then half a hour to fix it because I forget me tools now to rest " I think as a walk to back to playcare and sit down on the fake grass then I feel something brush against the back of my head as I look and see catnap " hey buddy " I say ever since catnap has been introduced three or four weeks ago he has been very close to me but oh well " hey catnap " I say as catnaps head shoots up too look at me " you know you remind me of one of the orphans Theo kind but shy kid you know I wish I could of adopted him instead like all the kids that randomly got adopted don't get me wrong I care about all the kids here but it may just be because I miss them they didn't even say goodbye " I say as tears forms then I chuckle and look at catnap and then lay down again resting my head on catnaps stomach as I put my hand on his head immediately getting a purr from him as I chuckle as I look up at the fake sky and listen to the sounds of happy children " even if I have to work at playtime co for the rest of my days I will find out why those kids randomly got adopted I mean the kids get notified two day in advance so they can say there goodbyes and stuff it just doesn't feel right " I think as red smoke clouds my vision " damn you catnap " I jokingly say as I drift of to sleep "he must have seen I wasn't getting enough sleep " I think while asleep after who knows how long I wake up to the smell of vanilla " thanks dogday " I say " not a problem Mr Alex " dogday says I sit up and see that catnap isn't where he was laying " hey wheres catnap" I ask " oh he had to go back to his room " dogday say " oh ok " I say " hey speaking of catnap he has been talking about some weird skeleton arm do you know anything about it " dogday ask " nope " I say " oh ok " Dogday says I sigh and get up " well got to get back to work " I say as I walk of to see if anything else needs repairs which there was
time skip to the 6th of August 1995 at 12'00 am
alex pov I'm sitting down eating my lunch when a employee comes up to me " hey Alex mrs greyber wants to see you in her office" they say " ok then " I say as I put my lunch back in my lunchbox and start walking to the office area " good thing I always eat my lunch at playcare " I think to my self as I walk into the office area and into mrs greybers office and open the door " Alex please have a seat " Mrs greyber says pointing to her seat " now I'm sure you wondering why I called you hear " mrs greyber say " yes ma'am " I say " well I have gotten some reports of you trying to look at and go into areas you are not allowed to so I am sad to say but you are fired effective now I have had a employee clear out your locker for you " she says as she hands me a suitcase " um mrs greyber I didn't have anything in my locker " I say that was a lie I had some huggy wuggy and kissy missy dolls in there alot of them to say the least and smiling critter plushs "also here is you last payment for you work over the years " Mrs greyber says as she hands me a letter " open it when you get back to your house " Mrs greyber say " um ok have a good rest of you day Mrs greyber " I say kind of sad that I will get fired as I walk out of the office " hey Mr Alex what's got you so down " Bobbybearhug asks " hey Bobby can you tell catnap something for me" I ask " sure " Bobby says in her cheerful tone " can you tell him that I will not be able to see him again cause I got fired " I say " ok um see you Mr alex " Bobby says sounding a little bit down now "well have a good day Bobby " I say " you too Mr Alex " Bobby says as I walk away and get in the monorail as it starts and I sit down on a chair inside of the monorail " how did they find out I was looking in those places oh well now what In the world is in the suitcase Mrs greyber gave me it probably not my whole huggy wuggy collection or my smiling critters collection cause its to small " I think as the door opens and I get out and walk to the train station as it got there the train arrives at the station and its doors open and I get into the train and sit down " luckily today there is no other places it goes to " I think and the intercom say " next stop the game station" I sigh as I pull the letter Mrs greyber gave me and look at the writing at the front of it it says open when you get home " weird but ok I stopped questioning this company when they brought in living toy so ok " I though as the train came to a stop and I get off as mommy long leg walks up to me
" hello Mr Alex " mommy long legs says " hey mommy long leg sorry not really in the mood to talk " I say as I continue walking and get to the elevator and push the button to go up and heard a ding turns out the elevator was already hear and I get in a press the ground button and the elevator starts going up and I just sit in silence the only though crossing my mind " what are they hiding " as I start think of what they could be hiding in the restricted areas " tax fraud,making fake money, making guns or something " my train of though is cut of as the elevator dings and I get out and start walking to my car then remember I need to drop off my grab pack and I walk to the staff area near the front and put my grab pack in the return area and get in my car and put the key in and drive back to my house the drive was very uneventful as I parked my car in my driveway and got out of my car and walk into my house and sit down in my living room and look at the suitcase and letter mrs Greyber gave me I open the suitcase first and see a Vial filled with a strange liquid and a syringe I then close the suitcase and open the letter Mrs Greyber gave me "hello Alex if you are reading this then I fired you there is no easy way to say this you the kids who where adopted randomly didn't get adopted they got turned into those big toys like huggy wuggy catnap dogday and so on i only learned of this five months ago when jeremy was going to be adopted then when i walked past the meeting room and heard leith pierre and other people in the inavtion department talking about it I was horrified about it then I was visited by one of the experiments who called himself the prototype he asked for my help in getting more humans to help free the other experiments of cause I agreed and I got together a group to help but a couple days ago during the break I sneaked my way into the inavtion wing and found the suitcase which I have given you listen you need to fill the syringe with the liquid and inject youself with it its the only one they got right I don't know what it does but its the only one they got right the label on it said something about abillites or something I know this may sound crazy but you have to believe me please playtime co has been going down hill since Mr Ludwig got sick more corrupt under the syringe is the deed to the playtime co building mr Ludwig gave it to me for some reason but I trust him also have a good life your former boss Stella greyber" I look at the letter I just read aloud to myself with wide eyes like what the heck and then opened the suitcase again and filled the syringe with that strange liquid and injected myself with it " well if this is how I die so be I am way to curious to see what will happen " think as I blackout
unknown amount of time later
alex's pov I wake up after who knows how long and feel my hand hurt and I look at it and see that when I blacked out I knocked over my vase and grabbed a piece of the vase but then it wasn't a piece it was the whole vase now some how fixed I looked at my hand " what the heck was what Mrs greyber wrote about true " I though as my mind was going overdrive then I realized the orphans that where randomly adopted they where expermented on " no Theo Kevin Marie all of them where still in the factory I need to save them no not right now the factory is still open I need to wait to learn my powers more so I know it wont go bad and I end up hurting them I looked out my window and see that it is night time " but first bed " I thought as I got up and headed to bed
bonus scene the next day
alex's pov I wake up to the noise of a truck pulling into my drive so I get out of bed and walk out of my house " morning are you Alex " a man asks " yes" i say " cool well here is all of the stuff we could get out of your locker which was more like a closet " he says as he drops six boxes on the ground " thanks " i say " no problem just dont keep all those to close to each other the created enough static elictricity that it made a mini emp and shot all the security on the upper levels " the man says as he gets back into his truck and leaves " oh well time to see if it my collection " i think as i open the boxes and its filled with huggy wuggy and kissy missy plushes many with diffent defects i pick up the boxes one by one and put them all in my bedroom and just dump them on the ground and then just lay in my sea of huggy wuggy kissy missy and smiling critter toys
authors note some of the things in will be my head cannon like Stella Greyber being the one who helped get people to help the bigger bodies in the hour of joy also the unnamed kids who where turned into the bigger bodies that we don't know who they are I will give them names so I do hope you have enjoyed also this first few parts where written before chapter 4 came out also I am new to ao3
