You Don’t Know Me

Summary:

Jade sings a song to Beck after they break up, but as she’s singing the words she realises that she’s also in love with Tori.

Notes:

Enjoy. There may be errors. This isn’t usually proofread. I don’t own Victorious and this is because there’s not enough Jade/Beck/Tori stuff.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Jade Realising Feelings

Chapter Text

André yelled out across the stage, “Let’s heat things up for Jade West!”

The crowd roared and clapped with enthusiasm.

The beat started to rise as the music started to play, Jade's eyes scanned the crowd as she started to sing, "You think you know me, but you don't know me."

Her eyes locked onto Beck as she continued, "You think you own me, but you can't control me."

She saw Tori clapping along right next to Beck, "You look at me, and there's just one thing that you see, so listen to me."

"Listen to me!"

Jade's eyes drifted back to Beck as she belted out the next words, "You push me back, I'll push you back harder, harder."

She noticed as Tori noticed the attention on Beck as Jade continued, "You scream at me, I'll scream at you louder, la la la louder."

Her thoughts were drawn to Tori as well, Tori did the same to her. She screamed at her when she needed it. She thought about the conversation earlier with Tori, Beck, and Andre in the janitor's closet. When Tori yelled at her and had that conversation about boys not wanting to approach her. Even though Jade didn't care Tori felt it was important and brought it up, even yelled at her.

"I'm dangerous, I'm warning you. But you're not afraid of me, and I can't convince you."

As she looked at Beck again she realised how he was never really afraid of her. Tori was a bit, that made her smirk inside, but not really. She didn't think Jade would hurt her, and she wouldn't, not after everything they had ben through together as sort of friends. She even helped her and Beck get back together before.

"You don't know me. And the longer that you stay, the ice is melting. And the pain feels OK, it feels OK. Hey!"

Her eyes drifted back towards Beck and Tori, as she continued the song she realised how much she liked Tori as much as she liked Beck. And that somehow when she was writing this song for Beck it ended up applying to Tori as well.

"You push me back, I'll push you back. You scream at me, I'll scream at you louder, louder, louder, louder, louder, louder, louder, louder!"

She thought to all the times Tori pushed back when Jade pushed her, just as much as Beck did.

"You scream at me, I scream at you louder, la la la la louder."

"I'm dangerous. I'm warning you, but you're not afraid of me. And I can't convince you, and I don't have to. I think you know me."

The song ended with her eyes on Beck and Tori, thinking back to how much both of them had impacted her life. Thinking about how they were the water to her fire and were always there to push her and challenge her, while keeping her contained when she needed to be.

With a final glance she finished the song, and Beck walked on the stage as the audience clapped. With a soft voice spoke first, "I've missed you."

She replied "So what are you going to do about it?"

He stepped closer and pulled her into a kiss. She enjoyed the nostalgic feeling as she thought about what Tori's lips would feel as well pressed against her own.
