Kris and Ralsei shared a kiss in Ralsei’s dark, empty room, making sure nobody was around. Kris smiled when it was over, then went back to that soul-less expression. Ralsei was blushing heavily, he held Kris’s face in his fuzzy paw. Trying to see their eyes through all that dark hair covering their face. He frowned at their frown. Ralsei wondered why they always did that, he felt a pit in his stomach every time he saw Kris sad. The thing is, he couldn’t read them that well, the long hair, and that common expression was so unreadable.
“W-What’s wrong?” He asked softly.
“Nothing… Why?” They were confused.
“You never umm, smile, and on the rare occasion y-you do, it’s always gone the second it’s there… Is something wrong?”
Kris stayed silent. The simple answer is: a smile is something they don’t like on themself. Sure, it’s a sign of happiness, something they shockingly do have, it’s just that Kris never liked their own smile, or face… or really much about themself. Ralsei was all he truly needed to feel fulfilled, to be happy no matter the expression.
“Is it… is it me?” He asked quietly. Kris felt insanely guilty.
“No, no, no! it’s not you.” They stammered.
“I don’t know, I just don’t like it…”
“Hey, I get it Kris!” Ralsei explained.
“I-I never really liked my looks either, it’s hard to like the things you’re given unwillingly.” He stepped closer to them, putting a hand on their shoulder.
“B-But, I-I think you l-look really cute with a smile.”
He blushed like crazy. Kris stared down at the fluffy boy. He’s cuter than they could ever be. They did that frowning people do when trying not to smile, and turned their head away. Bushing too.
“Come on! I almost had it.”
“Please Ral, I’m happy.” They muttered.
Ralsei raised an eyebrow in doubt.
“I am!” Kris fought back.
“Me too, but… h-ho-how can I make you smile? I know you can!”
Kris wrapped their arms around him, pulling them against each other. They stayed silent, trying their hardest to keep a smile off the face. It was hard being around the most adorable thing in this Darkworld and not crack a smile. Ralsei’s embrace was warm, and very comforting to them. They suddenly felt Ralsei’s hand adventuring up their armour piece. They jumped a bit at the touch. His paws were even warmer, slowly climbing up their side.
“O-oh my goodness Kris! You’re freezing!” He shouted, sticking another paw on their side.
Kris squirmed, and covered their nervous laughter with their hand. Ralsei stared at him with confusion, soon turning into a grin, one Kris had never seen before. They jumped away, slapping away his hands too.
“There’s no need to be shy Kris.” He spoke softly.
“I-I never knew this about you though.”
Ralsei charged at Kris, who braised hard for impact. Ralsei tackled them to the floor as gently as he could, the armour saving them the pain. He positioned himself on top of Kris’ hips, trying his hardest not to be too rough. Kris tried his hardest to get him off, but Ralsei was surprisingly heavy. They were stuck, and knew what was to come. They didn’t want to accept their fate, they cannot not win this battle. They saw Ralsei’s paws reaching out, right for their sides. Kris swatted his arms away, attempting to wiggle free but they were completely trapped in position.
“W-wait!” Kris screamed.
Their desperation to flee only made his grin grow bigger. The evil smile was something unseen, Kris couldn't help the fact their cheeks were burning up. Ralsei went straight for their sides, going up the armour and making circular motions with his fingers in Kris’ sides. Too bad the armour couldn’t protect them this time.
Kris squeezed Ralsei’s wrists and erupted in loud laughter. They kicked their legs, still trying to break free from his hold. They never realized how sensitive they were.
“There’s the smiley!” Ralsei laughed to himself a little, while Kris tried to protect their sides with their arms. Failing. Ralsei was in, and not holding back.
“Raahahahalsei!” They laughed more.
“PLEASE!” They shouted out again.
Their laugh was so loud, it echoed throughout the room. Ralsei moved his paws to the middle of Kris’ stomach, creating an even more aggressively thrashing Kris. They’ve never laughed more in their life. Ralsei stayed staring down on them, he loved the sound of their laugh, but started to feel a little bad. He never tickled anyone before and knew he was doing it right, but their wellbeing was more important.
“I’m sorry Kris.” Ralsei said. He slowed down his fingers, but not completely stopping.
“I umm, really wanted to see that smile.” He got off of Kris, sitting beside them while they panted. Kris turned over on their side, curling up into a ball, shaking slightly. Ralsei began rubbing their arm, trying to get a peek at their face.
Kris felt incredibly embarrassed. They forgot how ticklish they truly were, and even though Ralsei was one they trusted most, it still was humiliating. They didn’t even want to face him again, and felt weird, wrong even. It wasn’t that bad, only it reminded them of their childhood, being tossed around by their brother in an endless tickle battle. They wanted revenge, because they felt their blood boil. Before they could react, their soul pounced on Ralsei quickly.
They laid on him, trying to use the same move he used on them.
“Whoa, Kris!” He shouted, hands in front of him.
They thought for a second, feeling like they shouldn’t, but their hands moved to his sides quicker than their mind.
Ralsei laughed, confused and squirming around like a worm. They never felt this sensation, it felt oddly good, but incredibly uncontrollable.
Kris moved to his stomach, moving around to different spots. Ralsei held onto their arms, trying to fight them away gently, but Kris’ hold on him was strong. The weight of their body was heavy, and his laugh became louder, more high pitched.
“Kris!” He cried.
“I’m sorry! Ahhahaha!” Ralsei squirmed more, attempting to flip around to make him harder to reach. It didn’t help. His sides were his weak points, and turned over, he couldn’t see the grin growing on Kris’ face. He liked tormenting him, it was funny, and finally got why Ralsei didn’t stop earlier. They wanted to laugh, but couldn’t, for he didn’t want to be ‘The smiley.’
Ralsei never pleaded with them to stop, so they just dug deeper into his sensitive ribcage. He was powerless, but turned back around and went for their hips in defence. Kris screamed and jumped up, still trying to keep their hands glued to them.
The two rolled around on the floor, trying to tickle the other one more. It was impossible to win, they both laid there, attacking at each other's weak spots, trying to get the louder laugh. It was fun though, not funner than a new adventure, but surely better than the light world. Kris stopped and backed away from Ralsei for a breath. They were panting, laying on the floor, sure that the fight was over.
Ralsei snuck up on them, grabbing their leg and holding it under his arm. Kris panicked badly. They couldn’t free their leg, no amount of twisting and turning would do it.
“Wait, Ralsei!” They shouted out again.
Ralsei turned his head to look at them, their face covered in dread, beads of sweat coming down their cheeks. He smiled and slowly began taking off the metal armoured boot. Kris panicked more, they knew their weaknesses, and were not about to lose now. Their sock was exposed, but before Ralsei even touched the foot, Susie came barging into his room.
“Where the hell is all that noise coming fr-” She stood there, looking at the two in this position. She gave them a disgusted look. The sweat, them out of breath, their clothes all wrinkled and ruffed up. She thought she walked in on them having sex.
“I don’t want to know… have fun you freaks.” She said before slamming the door shut.
Ralsei turned back to Kris, horrified.
“Oh my goodness, I didn’t think we were being that loud…” He muttered.
Kri was relieved, Susie just saved them from their doom. But Ralsei’s grip stayed on their calf.
“Hey Kris, I’m sorry about this, I think we both got a little carried away… I had fun though, I never did this before.” He said, still blushing. Kris smiled a little too, they couldn’t help it, how couldn’t you smile at your favorite fluffy boy.
“My smiley…” He softly said.
Kris tried to move out of his grasp, but Ralsei held him tighter, pulling them back in place.
“Susie said she’ll leave us to it though, and well, I don’t want that cute face gone forever.” He held their foot, slowly and softly making shapes with his paw on their sole. They cackled and held their mouth.
“RALSEI!”
“Okay, okay, I’m sorry.” He crawled up to their head, and sat down, playing with their hair. Kris’ piercing eyes stared up at them, blank but happier. They leaned up and placed a peck on his lips. He blushed, and held their face in his paws, he was lightly shaking.
“I love you Ralsei, but please, let’s never do this again.”
He giggled a little.
“Okay… I love you too.”
Another kiss shared between them, holding hands, knees touching, bodied shaking.
