Ori snickered softly as Dís nudged Dwalin into silence, dwarflings crowding up to the young scribe, eager to hear the embarrassing tale. He knew there were a few elves here and there as well, trying to look busy and not all like they were listening in.
Thranduil was doing his best to become one with the wall he was leaning against, as Legolas had made certain that he couldn't escape hearing the tale of shenanigans involving two kings and a captain, high on Chuckle Berry Mushrooms.
Dís, Fíli, Kíli, Tauriel, and Bilbo had Dwalin and Thorin cornered, Nori and Dori were gleefully blocking any escape routes.
Unfortunately for the three, Ori had witnessed the entire event, and was quite skilled at recording complicated events in his self designed shorthand.
Ori was very pleased with himself, and settled in his seat, opening his book directly to the story's location.
"Shall we begin?" He asked, receiving loud cheers from his younger listeners. And so he began reading.
"I had just finished writing out my part in the battle when I heard the captain yelp…"
