Chapter Text
If you had told Billy that at the age of 16 he would be married he would have called you crazy but here he is. Danny had shown up out of nowhere nearly dead clutching the cores of Dan and Ellie in his arms. They needed a paternal bond and what are friends for? It wasn’t until after that Clockwork told them that they had gotten the equivalent of married. Now he’s married and living with Danny as a roommate. The sound of gagging filtered down to Billy’s ear. Oh right, his pregnant roommate. Billy sighed as he got out of bed. Billy stopped by the kitchen to pick up a gatorade before knocking on the cracked bathroom door.
“Hey?” Billy lightly rapped on the door with his knuckle. He heard the lock click. He hesitantly turned the knob. Danny sat on the floor next to the toilet. His black hair plastered to his face. The drops of cold water he splashed on his face followed the path of the lichtenberg figures from his half closed eye down his neck and into his shirt. His one good ice blue eye stared at Billy.
“Hey yourself.”
“You good?”
“What do ya think?” Billy set the gatorade on the floor next to Danny.
“Will you be able to make it to the meeting today? It's fine if you can’t go.”
“No I’ll make it?”
“You sure? I won't go if you're not.”
“I’m sure.” Danny took a hesitant sip from his gatorade.
“What flavor is this?”
“One I think you can relate to, glacier freeze.”
“Buzz off.” Billy laughed at his own joke closing the door slowly behind him. Leaving his friend behind to finish cleaning himself off.
-----------
They were late to the meeting Danny wished they weren’t because when they showed up at the watch tower Frostbite in all his 8ft tall yeti glory was there in the meeting room.
“Oh great one it is a pleasure to see you here.”
“Dad, what are you doing here?”
“Wait Dad?” Flash looked between the white haired 14 year old ghost boy. “I kind of see it between the hair and your horns but who's your mom?” Danny laughed. Frostbite, Pandora and Clockwork had all adopted him when he was 15. At 16 Frostbites gifts started to show. When Danny was in ghost form he had two little nubbs on the side of his head.
“I’m adopted.”
“Oh.”
“That still doesn’t answer my question.”
“We needed information from the ancient of healing,” Constaine spoke from behind the big guy.
“Then why didn’t you call me? I got them all on speed dial.”
“We were unaware that you had such a familial connection with the Ancient.” Superman apologized. Batman just grunted.
“Ok next time you need any information from an ancient call me.”
“We’ll update your file.” Batman typed into his wrist computer.
“Please do.”
“That reminds me The time keeper would appreciate a call.”
“Will do when I get back but I think The justice league has questions.”
“Gladly great one.” Danny sat down and Lisoned as Frostbite answered the heroes questions. He couldn’t pay attention completely zoning out with his head in his hands. It reminded him of his days with Mr Lancer.
“I think that's all the questions we have.” Danny snapped back to the present.
“I apologize I couldn’t be more helpful.”
“No, you were plenty helpful.” Wonder woman assured Frostbite.
“It was good to see you dad.” Danny floated over to give frostbite a hug. “I’ll call Bama later.”
“It is always great to see you and your husband, Great one.”
“Daad.” Danny tried to stop him, he really did.
“Husband who?” Flash quickly whipped his head around to find who Frostbite was referring to. He found Billy trying to make his Captain Marvel form as small as possible. They locked eyes. “You?”
“Dad, I really expect this from Bama.” Frostbite smirked as he disappeared in a cloud of snow.
“Wait a second I want answers.” Since Frostbite was gone the heroes turned to Billy and Danny for answers.
“Ahh so we’re married,” Billy motioned between himself and Danny. Danny wished he could disappear in a cloud of snow like Frostbite did.
“What for how long?” Green lantern leaned against the vibrating Flash.
“Two weeks?”
“And You didn’t tell us,” Flash held a hand to his chest. “I thought we were friends.”
“We didn’t know how you would feel about it.” Danny rubbed the back of his neck.
“It’s fine we understand it might not be easy looking like a child for eternity,” Superman said solemnly. That's right Danny completely forgot that the entire justice league thought that both he and Billy were ancient entities not teenagers trying their best.
“Thanks.”
“You have our support” Wonder woman got nodded and aforementioned from the league except Batman. “Right Batman?”
“No.” Batman grunted. With that Batman left the room.
“I’ll go talk to him.” Superman followed.
-----------
“Batman what was that?” Clark floated in front of Batman blocking his path.
“The relationship is inappropriate.” Batman change directions.
“I get that Phantom looks young but he can be traced back hundreds of years.” Batman grunted.
“Talk to your kids, they'll convince you.” Batman grunted again.
--------
“That is disgusting" Tim muttered over his 4th cup of coffee in the past hour. “Mabye Phantom doesn't know and Marvel got into deep in pretending.”
“What are we going to do?” Steph took the coffee cup out of Tim’s hands.
“First we find out if Phantom knows he seems like a great guy I’m sure it's just a misunderstanding.” Dick took the case file out of Tim’s other hand.
“And if he does?”
“Then we call Jason.”
“We can’t reveal Marvel's identity though.” Tim informed them as Cass threw the blanket over Tim's shoulders. Bruce nodded as he picked up the sleeping Tim and carried him to his bedroom. Dick, Steph, and Cass hi-fived; they had gotten Tim to bed in record time.
----------
“Lois I- you should have seen him,” Clark washed the dishes from dinner as Lois came back from making sure the kids were in bed. “I’ve never seen him this upset over a leaguers relationship before.”
“Well Clark,” Lois tapped her chin, “It seems to me that Batman’s hasn't realized that Phantom’s not a kid. His kids will bring him round.”
“And if they don’t? ”
“They will.” Lois went back to typing and Clark back to washing.
“He’s just so young though.” Lois made a sour face. Neither of them really liked the fact Phantom was the dead 14 year old. Both of them remember the day a week ago. Phantom had Constainte explain his information he had on the demon summoner four times before Constaintn snapped and yelled at him. ‘Well not everyone made it through high school.’ Phantom’s word still rang in Clark’s ears.
“Any closer to figuring out how he died?”
“It’s taboo to ask.”
“You could ask about his grave. The power point on ghost culture says that's fine, even encouraged. It might give you information.”
“I know, but he's younger than Jon. Every time I try to ask I get cold feet I can't help but imagine someone asking Jon the same question.” Lois shivered.
