Summary

This work was inspired by chapter 431! I started it as a way to provide some much-needed context and clarity (cope) to the chapter as a whole. However! I have decided not only to do this, but to also elaborate on Izuku and Katsuki's relationship as adults. It's a bit of a work in-progress, but I have a general idea of the direction I want it to go. This will be told by a third-person narrator that mostly revolves around Katsuki. (Duh.) The first imposter doesn't even make it within the castle gates.
The man may have curly hair and a tall frame, but his curls are red and his skin is pale as milk; does the man seriously think that Edwin is going to forget what his lord husband looks like after a mere couple of years away at war?
The second imposter actually makes it within the gates.
He has the correct hair color, the correct accent, the correct shape and frame. Sure, his personality is a bit off, but war does a many grave thing to a man, especially given whatever circumstances leaves one's face covered in bandages.
Thankfully, Edwin does not get too attached to that particular imposter, because the man escapes the castle in the middle of the night, running away with half of the silver.
It is the third impostor that is the true issue. He walks into the castle wearing the correct face, speaking the correct language, being the correct man that Edwin fell in love with all of those years ago.
But soon, Edwin shall find the truth of his falseness, when he moves from Charles’ face to Monty’s-
