Ditto to Stephen on getting head pets and not knowing what to do with it at first, had my first experience getting head pets from my boyfriend last night before dinner and let me say my body was all kinds of tingly not knowing what to do in that situation 😂
I love the vulnerability and communication ❤️ I personally believe that Tony is remarkably emotionally in tune with others but he deliberately acts as though he has no idea what anyone is feeling as an armor to keep people from getting close, and I was definitely able to insert that headcanon here quite cleanly. It also made the fact that those two let their guards down around each other after only 5 meetings that much sweeter ❤️❤️❤️
For something so simple, it really does have a full all-body affect! It's a little fascinating, honestly. DEFINITELY not sure what to do about it.
I have a very similar headcanon. I think one of the ways he's so good at getting under people's skin is because he's so good at reading them and figuring out exactly how to press their buttons, figuring out how to give someone pleasure/what they need is just the other side of the equation. He definitely does a lot of work to keep his armor intact. Also, I just LOVE them letting their guards down with each other, even when they might be mentally like "this is too fast! too fast!" and doing it anyway. (A part of Tony was definitely wondering why he was doing this, like he told Stephen, giving people what they want is easy, giving them what they need... that's special.)
