Comment on That’s not how time travel works

  1. OMG I LOVE THIS SO MUCHHH.
Serious talk though my brain was going:
    Bootstrap paradox
    Grandfather paradox
    Predestination paradox
    Fermi paradox
    Another paradox
    Another another paradox
Another paradox just because we can paradox

Honestly you worked around the implications of them all so well! Although I think the universe would still probably explode 😆

    1. Haha thank you! I think one of the best parts about time travel stories is getting to dissect them for all the ways the characters can screw themselves (or the universe) over with a paradox. I think a key tenant of any time travel story has to be that the characters are motivated enough to do what they have to do without causing/contributing to a paradox.
Stone doesn't exactly know what happened (and neither does Ivo) so are they both really on a predetermined track? Is it predetermination to know an end destination but not the actions or journey to get there? Thankfully Stone as a character too is far too no-nonsense and determined to get home to his Doctor to want to try and test the universe out of curiosity haha
Glad you enjoyed! I had a lot of fun writing it! I didn't get too into the paradoxes or mechanics of the time travel because it wasn't too central to this story but i am cooking up a different one that might go a bit deeper into it 👀 we'll see :P
      Thanks for reading!
