      Seabury was many things but he was NOT an asshole. So Alexander didn’t agree with his opinions, so what, making the main character upset automatically makes him terrible? He grew up in Connecticut, his mother died and he got a step mother. He had serious father problems, and didn’t get along with his full brother the best. I’ll bet you didn’t even know his brother’s name is Kaleb. He was a bishop and was well respected. If you had read his biography and diary he had kept of his travels you would know, but no, you don’t, so that automatically makes him an ‘asshole.’ I came here for the sole purpose of seeing Sam’s reaction and was very much bummed out when I saw he wasn’t there. He even became a patriot later in is life! But of course you don’t know that. You didn’t think to even look into his background or who he was HISTORICALLY before you only listened to the song, found out that GASP!! GOD FORBID ALEX DOESN’T AGREE WITH HIM OMG LEMME AUTOMATICALLY PEG HIM AS THE ASSHOLE JUST BECAUSE HE GOES AGAINST ALEX’S BELIEFS OMG WHAT A TERRIBLE PERSON TO HAVE HIS OWN OPINIONS SEABURY IS THE WOOORRRSSSSTTT y’know even though he agrees later with Alexander because he becomes a patriot but I’m too ignorant to even know about the actual historical PERSON and take a 1:53 long song to fully define his character and who he is, EVEN THOUGH the events of Farmer Refuted never even took place, they just fuded over the press. Oh yeah, Seabury’s pen name was A.W. Farmer, A.W. Standing for ‘a Winchester’ farmer, that’s why the song is called ‘Farmer Refuted.’ But I’m willing to bet you didn’t know that, did you? I’ll bet ya ALSO didn’t know his CHURCH was burned down and he was paraded about on horseback then tarred and feathered because he wouldn’t admit to being A.W. Farmer and because he was a loyalist. He was also thrown in jail for 6 weeks for being a loyalist, then became a patriot afterward!!! But no. You just listened to the song and made assumptions, peggimg him as an asshole even though the event never took place and it was just his opinion against Alexander’s. Shame on you.

        Hi, i agree with you on some things, but this is a fictional story about dead people..and why is this the authoes fault for peoples view, seabury once wrote that hamilton a idiot and that the revolution should of killed him, so seabury was kinda petty, alexander was petty too. You are being a little hypocritical..not trying to start a fight! I was just a little upset about how you protrayed the author the fault of the others peoples views..
