   This was delightful! It reads like something that could have happened in canon and I love the idea of Menolly not just going back to face her past, but improving Half Circle while she was there. :) The only thing I didn't catch was the color of Alemi's fire lizard and not knowing is a torment. XD

      Marn is a brown. It does say so, once, in the scene where he hatched.
