oh definitely! i tend to be *quite* wordy at times, and while that has its place, there are times where less is definitely more. and while i had thought to write out a whole conversation between the three of them as well, i think having it be a more quiet moment contrasted it better with the party they had just left. but i might not have thought of that had i not limited my word count. and thank you again for the idea for this! <3
You're very welcome! I love how it turned out! I totally agree that having them just stand there in silence is super fitting. And yeah, I have the tendency toward wordiness with my own work lol. It's why I'm imposing a new rule for Book Two, to keep each chapter to around 5k so that they don't get quite so out of hand as they did in Book One lol.
