Comment on I'm Still Here

what's so striking about this first chapter is the immense pain Keith feels about the "ordinary world" and not only that but also the self-loathing and anger he experiences to the point he feels he deserves the life and emotional state he's become entrenched in. when I read that last bit about the escape pod falling having "no place in his world," it felt more than dissociation because of how extraordinary it was but also like he doesn't deserve that call to adventure. like he doesn't deserve to have this event stretch out its hand to pull him toward a new path. the way you write Keith's emotions make them palpable and my heart hurts for this boy. amazing job, and i'm excited to keep reading! {P.S. hopefully me commenting on chapters as i read isn't too spammy)
