Baby Hunter was actually willing to accept Darius in his life as a paternal figure!!!!! I wished for this so long hahaha I mean for someone to make it this explicit, thank you thank you!!!
Also, there is something really heartbreaking in the way Hunter admits to himself he was always looking from love, cuz he didn't even know what that meant, and I just can imagine how overwhelming it must be to get to this whole new place and see Camila who is evidently a very affectionate parent. Sure for the whole Hexquad is kinda nostalgic and blue as they don't know anything from their beloved ones, but again, Hunter... MY BABY T__T he hasn't ever experienced what that is. It must be super shocking.
I am very aware there is a second chapter waiting for me to be read hahaha but I didn't want to leave the first without giving my comments. Just the beginning and I love it already <3
Omg yes thank you! That's exactly the vibe I was going for when I wrote that scene between them. This hopeful little moment of "we could be a happy little makeshift family if you'd like" that gets snatched away when the day of unity splits them apart. Here's hoping canon doesn't steal Darius away from Hunter like it did for Sirius and Harry 😭
Poor Hunter grew up thinking he constantly had to prove his worth by being useful enough to Belos and the coven, hoping for a scrap of affection in return. I'm so glad he's with people who will give him the love and affection he deserves now ♥️
