        Least he can enjoy not being a total fuck-up.

        That probably will help soothe the ego a bit, considering Todoroki was approaching the entire exercise very fucking poorly, hell Katsuki actually TALKED WITH HIS TEAMMATE AND MADE A GOOD PLAN! Still will be bitter about the victory being a technicality but he can rationalize it as 'The Villain Won with the first move because the Hero essentially destroyed their own career'.
