No idea how this goes from cat to talking cat to Lucius in hiding and then on the run with Izzy and kissing as cover... but I enjoyed it all the same.
This was particularly beautiful: 'All of the sounds around them in their margin of space, any great peril or impending consequences – it all fizzles out in favor of the sound of Izzy’s sharp breaths, the press of his lips that once spit insults and now swear to protect in their searing ardency.' Peak period drama kiss!
That's the joy of the exquisite corpse game! Sometimes you get something that is vaguely edizzy and sometimes you jump around from plot point to plot point like a frog :-) thank you for picking out my lines I'm glad my dramatic prose has done it for you!!! With a sentence cap I definitely went in hard haha
