    It could have been interesting. But it wasn't. It just felt hand wavey much like deciding to make Hawk Moth's motive be revive his wife after having episodes where he literally says 'I will rule the world' and then whatever bs happened in the S5 Finale where Gabe loses the plot as much as the writers did.

      I know. I actually think giving him a sympathetic motive was better, though. Why do you think anyone thought season 5 was good?

        Sympathetic Motive would have worked better if he didn't punt his son from the basement to the Eiffel Tower.
