The trick is to rewatch specific scenes and episodes and imagine how the dialogue I want to write would come out of the characters with their *original* voices. Then I just put those words in the gender-flipped versions. So if I'm writing a scene I'll wonder, "How would Aang say this?" and then just give the lines to Angka once I figure them out. If I'm sticking close to the canon scene it's pretty easy, it's when I divert and come up with my own dialogue that I have to get creative. But it's a fun challenge and I've been enjoying it.
