      I'm proud. I'm just surprised. I even tried making art using some screenshots from tmnt so i did get intense for this story

      I'm curious if you got any ideas about what's going on here with mikey. Idk if i made it extremely obvious or not(probably doesn't matter when I'm revealing it next chapter as he talks to his family) but a writer will always be curious

        I've only watched a little bit of Demon Slayer and it was a long time ago, so this is coming from someone who's got little knowledge of that show!

        What I got from Mikey in this story is that he's always had something inherently different that he can't quite explain, and has made him feel different from his brothers -- traits that he's always had but were amplified during his time in Dimension X! His reoccurring dreams from childhood to now is perhaps his memories of another life?? I thought they might be something to do with that, then when he asked his family if they believed in reincarnation at the end I figured that must be the case? 😀

        So I'm thinking a demon slayer died and was reincarnated as Mikey and as he gets older/experiences more, it's becoming more obvious that the memories/powers of said slayer reside inside him.

          That's actually really accurate. Something had always been up with mikey. Something he only subconsciously knew in his heart but it was there and it affected his life till the memories truly flooded(dreams of wisteria, the demon repelling flower, learning japanese before anyone else and being better at it despite not using it, even his own ninja training has slightly been influenced)

          But the memories did start coming out and the thing keeping him from remembering his past lice has become undone(and it scares him quite abit because reincarnation really is a tricky thing to look up or even think about) his memories of his past life became very clear once he experienced traumatic loss similar to his past life(when leatherhead sacrificed himself) and would only get worse when we stack another loss onto it(but That's discussion for later)

          But yes. One of the hashira that died has reincarnated as mikey. And the events of the show have brought out more of the skills and techniques of his past life that he only subconsciously called upon as a child.

          I actually had a few choices based on mikeys skills,similar quirks or trauma between mikey and a hashira,personality similarities

          I had 2 hashira and one of the characters in the tanjiro squad so i had 3 in the end and I'll even address those other picks in the story

              That's correct! My other options were characters like zenitsu and mitsuri but i got a few connections with mikey and shinobu.

              Both are among if not the fastest if there respective groups
              The bladed weapons they use are more useful for shallow cuts(mikeys kusarigama and shinobus stinger like katana)
              Both have been eaten by a monstrous entity(in mikeys case twice)
              And both have an intense amount of anger locked inside them(cause i don't think anyone is getting over the giant angry mikey inside his head)

              Like i said i had other options but i like the first option the best and it went from there
