Comment on A Treatise on the Observational Method (or, How to Lose Your Mind and Gain a Boyfriend in Five Hair Flips or Less)

  1. I loved this again. Honestly this was one of my favorites even though it was short. I could make a list of so many lines in this one fic that just were pure hilarious genius to me xD.

But mainly I liked that it kinda gave us a better view of your fics Alhaitham. It always felt strange how logical he was and he never seemed very vulnerable since we see everything from drama queen's POV, but now I feel much better knowing its just a labyrinth roundabout way of trying to understand FEELINGS. (I kinda figure in the wedding saga but this hit the nail in the coffin)

I know it might be hard to find some path foward after the wedding, but there are many things that can still go on (if you want to keep going)

    1. Oh my goodness, this comment absolutely made my day! Thank you SO much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and enthusiastic response! 🥰

"Pure hilarious genius"?! You're too kind! I'm absolutely thrilled you enjoyed the humor in this one, especially since it was a bit shorter than usual. Sometimes those little plot bunnies just have a need for speed, haha! 🐛💨

And you totally nailed it with Alhaitham! It's so much fun to try and peek behind the stoic facade and explore his... unique way of processing emotions. The "labyrinth roundabout way of trying to understand FEELINGS" – I love that description! 😂 It's definitely a recurring theme in my pieces, and I'm so glad that came across in this one (wedding saga confirmation and all!).

And yes, absolutely! The oneshots and twoshots in the series are generally designed to be standalones, so don't worry too much about them being directly connected plot-wise. The wedding was definitely a specific itch I had to scratch, haha! But rest assured, there are plenty of other shenanigans, fluff, angst (maybe!), and intellectual sparring matches I'm excited to explore with these two. The possibilities are endless! 😉

Thank you again for your wonderful comment! It truly means the world to hear that you're enjoying the series. Your enthusiasm gives me so much motivation to keep writing! Much love! <333

      1. Amongst my favorite lines are

"You wrote a whole damn essay on my hair flip cadence, you psychotic little—”

"You flirt lile a sentient theasaurus"

.."stepping closer, arms folded like a Victorian heroine who just realized her corset was laced by the wrong butler."

“You are not allowed to be hot and smart,” Kaveh said, which came out sounding more like a prayer and a complaint at once. “Pick a struggle.” >its tpick a struggle part that cracked me xD

Also Faruzan and her "thats digusting, keep your sexual tension to yourselves" honestly what did she expect? She was the one in their home in the

        Amongst others...

Its a different take on my recent kaveh and alhaitham fanfic endless void I fell into, not going out of character as much but enhancing their traits to just...INSANE levels. I will look foward to this if you plan to make more. I still come back to re-read the older ones though xD.

        1. Oh my gosh, your breakdown of the lines absolutely sent me! 😂 "You flirt like a sentient thesaurus" – I snorted so hard when I wrote that one, and I'm so glad it landed! And yes, Kaveh's internal (and sometimes external) suffering is a constant source of amusement for me. He's just so wonderfully dramatic.

And Faruzan's exasperation is a mood, isn't it? What did she expect with those two? Chaos and thinly veiled (or not so veiled) tension are the house specialties!

It's so interesting to hear how my take differs from your "endless void"! I love to explore these characters and their dynamic in such different ways. It's what makes this fandom so much fun! 🥰

And yes, oh, I'm planning on it! 😉 In fact, a oneshot I have brewing that I might post next week is Kaveh vastly overthinking and coming to the horrifying realization that him and Alhaitham are in a loving relationship and have been in a relationship. Featuring Tighnari, who is suffering as always. Poor Tighnari, he deserves hazard pay just for existing in their orbit. I also have a 5+1 oneshot draft of just Alhaitham caring for Kaveh... in his own special way. 😂

Thank you again for your incredible comments! Knowing you enjoy revisiting the older fics means the world to me. Your enthusiasm is the best fuel for my writing! ❤️
