It had been the last time Aleksi had practised at the rink and the last time they had ever gotten together, except for that one night when Joel’s team had had a tournament in Lausanne at the same time Aleksi had had a competition there and they had ended up making out in the men’s room of a bar, both drunk out of their minds after Joel had fucked up an opportunity to score on overtime and Aleksi had failed all his jumps in his short programme, just to avoid each other’s gaze when they passed each other in the hotel corridors the next day.
