“You know what's interesting,” Ted whispers, staring across the room unblinkingly at the two men who are pacing back and forth. “I’ve just now had the realization that you, Roy Kent, might be right about my weird Yankee type ideas.”
Roy glares at the small puddle of blood on the floor, slowly growing bigger despite Jamie’s attempts to keep pressure on Sam’s wound. “Hows that, exactly?” He hisses back, barely able to keep his volume low.
“Well, it’s a funny coincidence,” Ted sounds only slightly hysterical. “I’ve also just now had the realization that guns bother me far less than knives do.”

He told Johnny not to do anything stupid. He told him not to push too hard on this one, told him that his magic hadn’t recovered enough from their previous three missions, in which every single one of them Soap had to use his magic for something.
The 141 trains for all sorts of scenarios. Their magic is just like a muscle, it has to be used to become stronger. But it also has to rest at some point, otherwise fatigue type injuries start to set in.
Only, instead of straining a muscle in your leg, magic fatigue tends to present itself in much deadlier ways.

It’s his own fault that he’s in this position, and if he manages to live through it, he’s going to remain adamant about that.
Ghost will say it wasn’t Soap’s fault, that its his — and he’ll have a strong case for this, since he’s the one currently strangling Soap — but it really isn’t. There’s several strong facts to the case here, all of which Soap believes firmly prove that this is his own stupid fucking fault.
