"Hey," Thomas whispered, nudging Newt's arm with his elbow. His eyes were locked across the other side of the bar from their table, nudging Newt again for his attention. "That guy's staring at you."
Newt set his drink down and followed Thomas' gaze through the low-lit room, then darted his eyes away, bracing one elbow on the table and propping his head in his hand to hide his face. "Fuck," he mumbled.
With a curious little frown, Thomas asked, "You know him?"
"Not really..."
But he wanted to. He really, really wanted to. He was just scared for someone to know him.
