Fugo wanted to curl up and die. Despite spending all week studying for his Spanish test, he got less than fifty percent. Failure, his mind said. The blond wanted the earth to swallow him up. His parents would be happy to help once they find out his grade. God, how was he even going to tell them. They were going to chew him up and spit him up.
“I got you strawberries.”
Fugo looked up at his poetry teacher, Mr. Abbacchio. The blonde was currently curled up on the blue couch in Mr. Abbacchio’s office.
Fugo sat up, “When did you have time to get strawberries?”
“They’re Illuso’s.”
It was lunch period right now, but Fugo needed to cry in privacy. Fortunately, Mr. Abbacchio was more than willing to give him that privacy. -
