Summary
A piece of Bella died when Edward left.
To please her father, Bella goes out with Jessica and discovers her love of riding bikes. She takes a couple she rescued from a scrap yard to Jacob, who agrees to fix them. During the rebuild, the two grow closer and closer. Bella's night terrors cease, she begins speaking to her friends again, and Charlie can finally breathe a sigh of relief.
That is until Jacob "gets mono". Ignored, lied to, then broken up with, their relationship seems irreparable. As he runs off in the rain, a terrified look in his eyes, Bella thinks it's all over...
