Summary
In a prejudiced modern world where Benders are confined to their own territories, sixteen-year-old Prince Zuko has lived an isolated royal life, burdened by his deceptively dysfunctional firebending. Burned one day for opposing King Ozai's nightmarish plan, he flees, driven by a single goal: to escape further pain. But this desperate flight is hindered by his injuries, the relentless pursuit of the Red Army, hidden foes, and meagre resources. He can only go so far without help.
Afterwards in the course of his recovery, a dilemma weighs upon him. As the sole outsider privy to the possible catastrophe looming over both Normals and Benders, should he dare to actively defy his father's tyranny, or should he hand over the burden to more capable hands and focus on forging himself a new life free of suffering.
LONG HAUL Modern with Bending AU, in which Zuko is older when he's burned, goes on the run, gets himself unintentionally integrated into a SWT crew, joins a dysfunctional family of rebels, hunts for Ursa, meets the Gaang and discovers his purpose.
