Summary
I showed my brother the first episode of Vinland Saga, and while he loved the story, he cant stand the artstyle. This is me telling the story of Vinland saga to him, unedited, as if I am sitting next to him on his bed.
I will do my best to recount this epic tale properly. But due not he is the target audience. The violence will be a little less gorey, and since this is casual, I may break away from Epic Tale voice and switch to Hot Gossip voice. Enjoy :)
I'll tag characters as they show up. and probably only major characters.
Any ships are because I the storyteller ship them and I'm the one telling the story so you can assume its happening in the background. This descriptions is mostly so people who are not my brother know what they are getting into.

Droplets of rain weighed heavy on fragile leaves, hitting the ground when too heavy for the leaf. He stood deathly still at the edge of the tree line — wanting to move. A primal urge. Seeing the men laugh and joke around the burnt-out campfire, the gloomy weather having no affect on them.
The stench of blood and gore still heavy in the air. The disgusting sound of womens' screams and pleas for help drowned out by their sloppy moans. Thorfinn could only stare on, old, weathered clothes clung to his body, getting far too small for his growing body.
He was disgusted. Disgusted at the men. Disgusted at their actions. Disgusted at himself.

Summary
Sometimes, Askeladd becomes very different from the easy-going person he usually acts as when fooling around. Now, do not misunderstand, because the bastard is actually, most of the time, a dumbass.
But there were times when Thorfinn came to an understanding as to why exactly this man carried the title of this wild band of viking's leader.
Though it was rare, Thorfinn muses, observing for afar. And he hid it very well.
