What if Hannibal and Scipio had a day to themselves? Without the usual bloodshed and constant spears at each other’s throats? Hannibal sure wasn’t going to befriend a Roman; he swore to never be a friend of them, but maybe this Publius Cornelius Scipio, later added “Africanus” to his name, wasn’t so bad after all, for a brutish Roman at least.
