Stiles yelps as he’s pulled off the edge of the field and under the bleachers. He flails, managing to smack the person in the face mostly by accident. His assailant releases his jacket with a swear and, when Stiles turns around, he’s face to face with Derek Hale. Slightly-stubbled, cologne-scented, dreamy-eyed, captain-of-the-basketball-team Derek Hale.
“What the fuck?” Stiles squeaks. Derek immediately puts his hand over Stiles’s mouth.
“Shut up,” he growls. Stiles is glad that the other boy can’t hear his heartbeat right now because it is going crazy. He doesn’t want to admit how many ‘we have to be quiet under the bleachers’ fantasies he’s had about Derek, but they certainly didn’t go like this. Still, it’s intoxicating to be so close to him, to feel the muscle in his forearm.
Derek wrinkles his nose. “You smell terrible.” Yeah, his fantasies didn’t go like this at all.
