"You want me to let you go?" An evil grin morphs onto his face and he nods. "Fine."
The force of his release mid-swing sends her stumbling back. She gropes around, trying to find something to hold onto but her legs give way and she falls, her head hitting the bottom step with a loud crack.
"Lucy!" Tim rushes over as he opens the door, just coming home from football practice. "Lucy, no! Dad!"
