Johnny was on the retaining wall in the back, watching the traffic zip by slowly, the setting sun rich against the LA sky and the doctor sighed softly. He took in Johnny’s appearance, his hunched posture and low shoulders…even from here he looked exhausted. Morton walked up quietly to him, making sure Gage at least heard his footsteps and he gave a huff as he sat beside Gage on the wall, not paying much mind when Johnny gave him a surprised look. Dark circles under his eyes told the good doctor he wasn’t sleeping much, if at all, and the empty and broken expression told him Gage wasn’t coping either.
‘He’s a young lad still.’ Morton thought with melancholy.
It was now or never.

When Johnny's aunt suddenly passes away, he is left floating in an out of control world where no one seems to be able to reach him. However, as time goes on and Johnny continues to struggle, unexpected comfort comes from the unlikeliest of people.
