Summary
First, Meliodas was supposed to be sentenced to death.
He managed to talk it down to a life sentence of labor in service to Liones and being branded with his mortal sin.That's not that bad, right? Sixty, eighty years of service and a little burn? Virtually nothing in comparison to the destruction he'd rained over Danafor. Really, much less than he deserved, at least according to him.
