‘If he truly meant to bring me harm, he could have done so by now,’ Theon tells himself. The firepoker alone would be enough to bring about his end.
Really, he should scold Reek for putting his disgusting lips on his cup, but the praise and honorifics allow him to let it slide. He gulps at the liquid but takes care to drink from the opposite side. Draining its contents quickly, Theon thrusts the cup back towards the serving man to be refilled. The unspoken order is followed, and Reek cradles the carafe to his chest as Theon sips greedily.
“Is there anything else you require?”
Theon considers the question; perhaps he should send for Kyra. A good fuck might do him well in his quest for sleep, but he finds himself loathe to be in the company of another person. Only Reek is hardly a person.
