The story takes place during the events of the movie Star Trek into darkness. Specifically, it shows the two-week gap while Jim is unconscious after his death from Reactor radiation.
After Spock loses Jim, his psyche is totally in disarray. He can't sleep well or even meditate, his mind keeps going back to the day Jim was killed by Reactor radiation. Spock is trying his best to regain his sanity as he faces his responsibilities as a deputy captain of the Enterprise, and seeks to balance his strained and painful relationship with Uhura.
The story will take a broader look at the characters' feelings and perceptions in the film's scenes. In the meantime, the next few chapters will focus on the two weeks when Jim is unconscious. And they showed how Spock and McCoy went through and felt everything.
The other part of the story will focus on after Jim wakes up, and will mainly focus on Spock and Jim's relationship. -
