All stockbroker Giyuu Tomioka wants to do is spend this year's Christmas with his family without any complicated drama, unlike what happened last Christmas. However, life is full of surprises, and he ends up having the Snow Bride of his childhood bedtime stories fall at his feet.
Any relationship that starts with a lie never ends well, but can Shinobu's deception, which developed as a result of a misunderstanding, help her realise that perhaps there's more to a family than what trashy tabloids talk about? Last Christmas, Giyuu got his heart broken. But can inviting the woman that fate and destiny have gifted him to spend the rest of the Christmas season with him, partaking in family holiday celebrations, lead to better things?
Basically, Shinobu wears an ugly wedding dress, literally falling at Giyuu's feet, and of course, Giyuu falls in love with her because of it.

Sweat drips down the planes of his rough skin, old scars tinseled silver, faded and fully healed. But that new one... It's such an ugly shade of scarlet, a bruising violet still struggling to heal.
His fingers instinctively reach out, and Shinazugawa's eyes track the movement immediately. His gaze sharpens with realization. The burn Giyuu feels when Shinazugawa suddenly grabs his wrist - right when he's about to touch the wound - shouldn't hurt as much as it does.
"Shinazugawa." Still, he manages to bring his gaze up and attempt to ease the cold fury in those wild, dilated eyes. "This wasn't here last time."

"we could stay like this forever," giyuu suddenly speaks up, and with the quietness of the words said they don't seem to disturb the silence at all.
"we could. but what would you do then?" you continue, being tempted into asking the question with the smallest teasing lilt in your voice, as if prompting him to speak about his feelings about you.
"i would..." giyuu starts, taking a small break before continuing—to gather his thoughts, knowing you're watching him as intently as you can, and it's not in the least bit uncomfortable as it would be if it wasn't you.
"i would look at you," he says. "for the rest of eternity. i wouldn't want to do anything else besides it."
"is that so?" you manage to whisper out, taking slow and barely audible breaths to try and calm your fast beating heart. he probably can hear it with how your back lays on his lap, but that doesn't really matter. "wouldn't you get bored?"
"never."
