Summary
In a shattered glade, Sue finds Kurj Skolia dying—shields fractured, mind bleeding into the Weave. Untrained and unprepared, she acts on instinct, shielding him, rerouting psionic currents, forging a lifebond neither chose but both cannot escape. Time fractures, memory and sensation collide, and the impossible becomes real: dreams and fiction bleed into this world. Kurj, tactical and controlled, watches her like a variable he cannot model, while Sue navigates fear, longing, and devotion. Together, they survive, and the Weave bends to their presence, binding mind, heart, and destiny in a fated pattern.
This is their first encounter: raw, non-chronological, and fated. Kurj, fixated on the variable he cannot model, is taken to the House of Healing. Sue is welcomed to the Collegium. The Choosing has already occurred, and the Weave bends to confirm it. EDITED
