Summary
A small houseless crew headed by a mated pair of Captains have their second clutch in the Dreaming City. Of that clutch, one hatchling named Koron stands out. As he grows, he must learn to be strong and how to navigate a world that wants him dead because of his people's now savage ways. No one ever said it was easy, but he's nothing if not resourceful. But how much will he have to give up in order to do the right thing for his family, and his people?
Ratings and tags will change as the story goes on. Based on an old Drabble I did when toying with the idea of an Eliksni Guardian. I decided to flesh it out and give him a proper backstory as he will be a prominent in Banner of Lions Arc 2 and a recurring character in Road to recovery.
I do NOT give permission for this to be uploaded, published or sold on any platforms. If you see my works on any platform OTHER than A03, please notify me. I also DO NOT give permission for this to be published as an e-book NOR do I give permission for this to be published as an Audiobook. Poppy met the House Light Kell during the endless night. And since then, they had been tasked to help him- they had learned the Eliksni language a few years back and it served them well. They could not speak but they got along just fine using the hand signs.
They spent most of their free time working to build the new Eliksni quarters, and learning new skills like baking. ( Which they rather enjoyed. They often made too much food and offered it to the communal kitchen. )
If being honest with themself, they spent all of their free time there. They rather enjoyed spending time with Eliksni. They did not speak to the Kell much, they rarely if never met outside of their missions. It was fine for them, he was busy after all. They watched him from afar, wondering about what it must be like to be Kell. The people who lived here spoke of him highly, and they saw how much time he spent helping others.
They had listened to the data pads of his daughter, a Scribe. It was interesting but they hadn't met her yet. Everyone was busy working, after all. They didn't mind, they were happy that they were welcomed into the community.
It was fantastic to learn new things daily.
