After Annabeth's death Percy's in a really bad place but whether he feels sad or guilty for having developed feelings for Nico is beyond him. he goes back to camp to see Nico and Will together and realizes that maybe the son of Apollo isn't as good of an influence of Nico as he had thought. It starts by him trying to get Nico away from Will but that soon turns into a much more serious web of lies and secrets that sends everyone on a journey to find out things they though they knew.
