Summary
chaenomeles, more commonly referred to as the flowering quince are known for how despite the little time where its in bloom, it always leaves a lasting impact on those whose gazes befall it. he picks apart at a hidden meaning, and prods even deeper: it shows that everything, no matter how small or insignificant, has the capacity to leave its mark on the world. cheesy, no? fresh petals lay still in his palms, and instead of seeing them wither, he can only see himself.
he seethes, and crushes them. ibara doesn't quite understand how he could be "loved" for the person he is beyond all he's accomplished– the person that eden seems to see, and if he could ever truly be that person.
or; ibara has a terrible, awful crush on eden and surprisingly, their unusually frequent displays of unconditional love don't help with his coping.
